The Schaumburg domain in Thuringia offers an impressive experience for every holidaymaker. My stay in a charming apartment was absolutely successful. The location on the mountain not only makes for an exciting journey, but also offers wonderful views from the nearby castle. The entire area with the tree houses and the cute witch house is a real feast for the eyes. Particularly noteworthy is the breakfast, which was prepared every morning by a very friendly team. The quality of the food was excellent and started our day perfectly. There are also numerous places and museums to discover in the area, which makes a longer stay highly recommended. All in all, the Schaumburg domain was an absolute highlight of our trip and I can only warmly recommend a visit.Overall rating: ★★★★★Service: ★★★★★Atmosphere: ★★★★★Food: ★★★★★

Fantastic view, beautiful accommodation, great hosts. You have a fantastic view, especially from the tiny house. The tiny house has its own access path. So you can be very private. This time there were campers on the meadow next door, so you weren't completely alone. But if that's not the case, you can have both seclusion and being tied to the farm. Since the area is very hilly, you can expect a lot of pedaling with a normal bike ;) Otherwise, you can say that the service is very extensive and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. If you are looking for a vacation close to nature to relax with great service, you are in good hands here.

Fantastic location. Great hosts. Fantastic view especially from the tiny house. Surroundings are very hilly. That's why most of them were traveling on e-bikes.If you are looking for a quiet location close to nature and very good service, you are in perfect hands here.

A great location and a great environment. We were guests at the Schaumburg Domain for a week. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly owners, staff and even our four-legged friends. The days began with an excellent breakfast. Prepared by the extremely friendly and active housekeeper Ms. Annette, who even made unusual requests come true. Ms. Annette said goodbye to the day with tips for excursions around Schalkau.The “Brunnenhaus” holiday apartment is practical and decoratively furnished. We didn't lack anything.We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and highly recommend the DOMÄNE SCHAUMBURG!! Just go there!!
