A guest house was totally okay for us, clean rooms, we had a double room with a terrace. The mattresses were good, no back pain. Breakfast was good! You can take drinks from the fridge in front of your room at a reasonable price. That has something to do with trust. The location is quiet! I will book there for several nights in 2-3 weeks.

First of all, the positive: I was allowed to park my motorcycle on the terrace under a pavilion. When we arrived, no one was present to check in. After a phone call, I received a friendly welcome and was able to move into my room. I found the room to be O.K. Unfortunately I have to agree with the other reviews about the mold, it actually seems to have gotten worse. I wouldn't want to spend more than one night there. Breakfast was just 0815 but sufficient.

Two stars just because of the location, otherwise it would be less.My review:Staff: Not particularly friendly and unconvincing on the phone. Not pleasant when handing over the room, just an indifference.Room: Mold at the bottom of the wall along the terrace. Carpets are not maintained.Bathroom: Mold in and on the shower. Toilet seat too small.Breakfast: very economical.

I'll be back. Price performance really fits. My room had new furniture from Ikea. Well, the mattress was a bit soft for me but I also sleep very hard. Breakfast was great, but could be a bit one-sided if you stayed more than 3 nights. Good coffee and super fast internet. And everyone was friendly or polite. Good is good enough. The location is of course great in the forest.

Nice little guest house, close to the forest and within walking distance of the pedestrian zone.Recommendation to subsequent hotel guests: take an eye mask with you, as the curtains let in the sun early on.The tiles in the bathroom have a few blemishes, but that's completely okay considering the price/performance ratio as everything is clean.

We booked two nights. In general the price/performance ratio is okay. The room was clean, the double bed was a bit too short and the breakfast was okay. The assessment would have been better if there hadn't been an underlying smell of smoke throughout the house. What was particularly unpleasant was that people smoked in the next room with the door open during breakfast and the smoke could be heard in the breakfast room.

We spent 2 nights over New Year's Eve in the guest house (room 28). Outdated furniture, more than questionable carpet, moderately clean, peeling wallpaper and mattresses in the bed that don't deserve the name, that's how the room can be described.We experienced 2 service staff at breakfast that was significantly below average (even on New Year's Day). If the plates or carafes were really completely empty, they would be refilled at some point. Instead of a friendly demeanor, we experienced grumpy shuffling and had the feeling of being a nuisance.Since the location was a bit out of the way, the price and performance were in no way compatible.In 2023 we stayed in 13 different hotels and guesthouses, this guesthouse was by far the worst. Therefore, under no circumstances would I recommend it.

I can't understand the bad reviews. I had room 43, the booking was made at short notice by telephone. I was able to arrive late without any complications and my room key with a drawing of where I had to go was in the key safe. Everything was explained to me over the phone in a friendly and nice manner.The room was clean, a small hallway, a bathroom that was big enough and clean, a living area with a kind of mini winter garden, very nice. A comfortable double bed with gummy bears on it and a large TV.There are 2 small defects that can be excused given the really low price. It's not a star hotel!!!1. Defect: The toilet seat had a small flaw in the seat that could be replaced.2. The parking situation for vans is a bit difficult, the neighborhood is sometimes annoyed and unfriendly if you park in front of their doors in the residential area. Unfortunately that cannot be changed and you just have to walk a few meters. 🤷🏼♂️I can only recommend it and I work every day Mon.-Fri. in Germany and Austria in hotels.I will gladly come again….

We spent a night here as part of a hiking tour on the Hermannsweg and didn't feel comfortable there. An unkempt and shabby room, a below-average breakfast and a very reserved host. Somehow everything isn't really good...

I don’t understand why opinions about this place are so poor. Rooms are very nice, big and clean. Breakfast is also very good and fresh.You can find here everything for short 1-3 nights stay, or even longer. Place is only 5-8 minutes walking from city centre, so very close.This is not 3 or 4 star hotel and it ahould not be rated or compared to such hotels.I recommend this place !

The location is ideal for dog owners. Forests in the immediate vicinity and yet quickly in the center. Breakfast was good (baker's rolls, cold cuts, cheese, jam, cream cheese, tomatoes, liver sausage, meatballs, cereal, yogurt, eggs, cabanossi, coffee, tea, orange juice). Room was spacious. Everything is a bit old. Joints in the bathroom urgently need to be replaced. I recommend not entering the lawn from the terrace in the guest house. Afterwards the room smelled of cat urine.All in all a good and solid place to stay!! We'd love to come back.I can highly recommend the local Mexican restaurant as a restaurant.
