Food was absolutely fantastic. The home-baked bread is to die for. Luckily you can even buy it. Be careful with a multi-course menu, the portions are generous. Service also has to be mentioned very positively. Back soon!

Very nice inn with a wonderful ambience. Great menu with an almost too large selection. You can hardly decide. If you like it, very good dishes with offal. Various wonderful Maultaschen to kneel down on. Good wine list. And the competition will be the envy of the many nice and, above all, quick waitresses. And the home-baked bread to take away is the crowning glory of it all. Top price-performance ratio! Highly recommended!

Without a reservation it is difficult to get a table.A visit to this restaurant is definitely highly recommended!The service is friendly and attentive.The food tastes incredibly good... I went there on a recommendation, and definitely not the last time. Price performance top 👍

We went here for dinner as part of a birthday celebration. The food was fantastic, especially the beef tea was extremely good. Overall we had a great stay with excellent food and service.

Yesterday we were able to spend a wonderful and very enjoyable evening at the Wägele in the Ochsenpost. What can I say!? We go out regularly and like to eat well. However, this evening exceeded everything we have experienced in terms of cuisine in recent years. Excellent food, extremely friendly, competent and attentive service and a decent price-performance ratio. In addition, of course, the Wägele is perfect for a romantic evening with your loved one. We spent the night in the historic hotel (main building) in a cozy room with a four-poster bed. 11 out of 10 stars for a great weekend 🌟Many thanks to the entire Ochsenpost team for real hospitality!!!

Certainly a restaurant that you have to know and don't just find. A good distance from Pforzheim. Very cozy atmosphere, waiters on the ball and polite. Very extensive menu, wine list manageable but sufficient, the selection of suitable wine glasses somewhat limited. We had an excellent menu with carpaccio, salmon and tartare as a starter and the main course included porcini mushrooms, excellent fried potatoes and beef chops. Tried two Barolos.

Large portions, normal prices.I was there for dinner as part of a company party. The atmosphere is super cozy. Right at the beginning you can marvel at the large maturing cabinet for the meat and the bread shelf for the in-house productions "to-go".We had the meat menu for at least 3 people. Everything was really very tasty. To be fair, it would have fed 5 people. The price of EUR 99 per person With quality like this you can't beat it. Luckily we had a few other colleagues who helped us eat.At the end I took some wood-fired bread with me (super delicious!).

We booked the s Wägele a few times in the winter.Excellent food, great service and the small wood-burning oven in the Wägele... That's something. The portions for the multi-course menu could be a little smaller. Otherwise you won't be able to enjoy the dessert as much if your stomach is tense 😁The farmhouse parlor is rustic and has a nice atmosphere. As usual, the portions are far too generous, including the starter soup.

We hosted our wedding dinner at the Ochsenpost in 2021 and were absolutely happy with our choice. Service, ambience and food quality were excellent and at a high level. I can recommend the restaurant and the hotel without reservation.

Good restaurant with too big portions. The prices are still a bit steep for the good food. Better slightly smaller portions and a little cheaper. A starter + main course were a bit much for each of us (6 people). The main course "braised pork top" was outstanding, seasoned to the limit and very tender. Unfortunately, the fish soup had a penetrating fishy taste (old fish?) and a strange aftertaste (celery and/or ginger). Unfortunately, there was probably fertilization nearby or there was a stable and it smelled unpleasant. The situation is like that. You just have to like it. However, I would come back to eat as the service is top and there are also very good dishes. Give it a try!

We were at the Ochsenpost on the occasion of a birthday. From the outside and inside it is a very nice restaurant with a wonderful ambience.We were greeted by a very friendly waitress and shown to our table. After ordering the drinks, we were served homemade bread with various dips.We started with various starters: the beef tartare, a fish soup and a chanterelle salad with grated horseradish on smoked wild boar ham and duck breast. All starters tasted extremely good, but the latter in particular is highly recommended. The price per starter is between €18 and €22.For the main course we ordered the poacher plate with red cabbage and cream mushrooms and spaetzle, the venison goulash with bread dumplings and red cabbage and cream mushrooms and the fish salad. Everything tasted very tasty again. The dishes are priced between €25 - €35.The Ochsenpost is an upscale, expensive but highly recommended restaurant, as the food, service and ambience are not often found in this style.I can recommend a visit to this shop to anyone who is looking forward to a great evening. However, you should probably spend around €70 per person. calculate.

The food at the Ochsenpost is always something very special. A reservation is advisable as the Ochsenpost is often fully booked.We received a warm welcome on our last visit and the service is at the highest level.From the starter to the extremely tasty main course “old cow” to the dessert an absolute poem. There is no better sauce in any other restaurant!Definitely good value for money!On another visit we chose the butcher menu. Many courses with generous portions and a quality that is second to none!So if you want to treat yourself to a very special meal and superior service, Ochsenpost is the right place.
