I ate at Ochsen with my mother today after it was highly praised on the internet. What can I say - my expectations were completely met and even exceeded when it came to the food and the staff. The staff is extremely friendly, accommodating and really takes excellent care of their guests. For food: I had a Vitello Tonato, a roast and my mother had a senior plate with two types of meat. Both dishes were served with spaetzle and a side salad. Conclusion - the Vitello Tonato sizzled on the tongue, a real dream and the tuna sauce wasn't that difficult either - many Italians can learn something from that, the onion roast was just great and my mother was also thrilled with her dish. The prices for the dishes were absolutely justified, although the onion roast seemed quite cheap to me at 33 euros. I generously rounded up the bill, so the waiter came back and asked if I could get anything back - I said no. I myself have worked in the catering industry for years and know that such good performance should also be reflected in tips. Overall, a visit to the Ochsen was really worth it and really worth recommending. I would give 10 points but unfortunately only 5 are possible. Many thanks again to the great team at Ochsen (also in the kitchen)

Service is great. Food is really delicious here...! However, the portions are really small for my standards and the prices are completely exorbitant! I know it's become more expensive everywhere, but here it's really damn expensive... Even if the food tastes better. But also drinks such as: B Wheat beer is really out of proportion at 5 euros... But if you want to eat well and don't care about money, you can definitely have a very nice stay here!

Really super friendly service. Very attentive. The dog also got his water immediately. We always made sure that everything fit. Not intrusive. The food is always very tasty and beautifully presented. We really enjoy coming here and can only recommend the restaurant.

For me, the food served here is the best German cuisine in the greater Tübingen area and even further afield. We were thrilled with the food every time we were there, and now we also ordered take-away food for Christmas, which was just as high quality and tasty. Family-run restaurant with hotel, very friendly service and good value for money for the food on offer. Only recommended.

Were here with 4 people for dinner on the recommendation of our daughter, she was here from the shop for the Christmas party, I have to say it's awesome, the fillet steak from the beef, very, very good, also the salad plate and the dessert, can't be beaten. Price wise a bit high, but in return you eat less and in return you get a very good meal, the service is also very nice and accommodating, if you still want fries 🍟 or sauce, you get a second helping 👌 we'll definitely be back 😃

I spent a long time there because I was inappropriate because of my work there. Everything was always clean and nice. Everything is very modern and chic. You will always receive a very friendly welcome there. I would book an overnight stay there again at any time :) But next time I will eat there too. Thank you for the always friendly communication and flexibility on your part.

We have been eating at Gasthof Ochsen with the family for years and have always been satisfied. The food tastes very good, is beautifully prepared and is of impeccable quality. The service is always extremely friendly, competent and attentive. Everything is clean, the tables are beautifully set and you can also sit outside. And special requests are also taken into account (my 13-year-old daughter wanted to eat vegan, but doesn't like asparagus and was skeptical about the spring rolls: we asked if she could get fried potatoes and she got them without any ifs or buts).For us the price-performance ratio is right. We are always happy to come back and would like to take this opportunity to say “Thank you!” to the entire team!
