You would only book this hotel for the location but nothing else.We were lucky that there was someone at 'reception' upon arrival. The lady helped us with check-in using a ticket machine. After payment of 1000 euros! We received the tickets for our room for 5 days. We had booked a room for 3 people. We wanted a double room, but because they were full, we opted for the triple room. We thought this would be useful because there were 2 of us and our Labrador. The room was more expensive, which seemed logical to us. When we arrived at the room, it was a double room with a 3rd bed mounted above the bed. The room was old, smelled musty and was very small. There was no chair or stool to put your clothes on. The 'wardrobe' was an open cupboard with some shelves. We placed our dog's basket diagonally in front of it because otherwise there would be no place to walk. We knew that breakfast was not served. We could grab coffee, but we had to pay for that too! When we came in with our suitcases, the receptionist did not help. She just sat there and didn't open the door. In short: no service at all and a musty smelling mini room. Definitely not recommended.

We spent one night in the hotel and expected much more for the price. As soon as we arrived it was clear that something was wrong. …

Nice location, close to the old city center. So much for the plus. The rest is less nice. I arrived around 5pm and then I was lucky that there was someone at the reception. While she was sorting out the paperwork, I looked around and saw a sign saying breakfast would be served downstairs. After the receptionist had finished and I had paid, I asked for verification whether breakfast was indeed down the stairs. She then replied that no breakfast was served, but that I could walk into the center tomorrow morning and that there were plenty of bakeries where I could find breakfast. In my view this is a deception (why is there a sign saying breakfast is served downstairs?), but that wasn't the worst part. The worst was the room. Although I was alone, I was given a 3-person room on the 2nd floor (for which I paid 147.50 euros, including parking costs). The room contained three beds and two (why not three?) chairs. The chairs are actually stools, because they have no backrest. These are seriously the shittiest chairs I have ever sat on.One of the beds was wider than the other two. I decided to sleep on the widest bed, although I thought it was strange that there was a bedside table on one side and a nightlight on the other. Why aren't they standing and hanging on the same side? But the worst; the mattress lies on a kind of plank that is much narrower than the mattress. So when I turned over in my sleep in the middle of the night, I almost fell off the bed! I was shocked! That's not a nice thing to wake up to.After that I couldn't sleep anymore and at half past four I got up and continued driving.I think almost 150 euros is expensive for 3 hours of sleep in a shabby room with the worst bed ever. For comparison; in the town of Mals in Italy (if you just leave Austria) you have Hotel Tyrol. For barely more money than in Villa Fantasia, you get a room like in a fairy tale (by far the most beautiful hotel room I have ever seen, including a great rain shower and fantastic beds, but everything about the room is beautiful!), plus a delicious 5-course dinner, plus extensive breakfast buffet. One star for Villa Fantasia for the psychedelic 70s motif on the tiles in the bathroom. I didn't take a shower, but I didn't care because of the brown sludge floating in the shower drain.Villa Fantasia is nothing more than a fantasy. And what it certainly isn't is budget. It's a lot of money for basically nothing.

When I book a holiday in a hotel I can expect more or less beautiful rooms, but calling this place a hotel is going too far. …

As a positive point, highlight the location of the hotel, it is located in the center. The arrival process is automatic through a screen, without problems (although they indicate that the reception is open with staff for a few hours, and we did not see anyone). On the other hand, it is excessively expensive for what it offers, it is not worth it. The rooms do not have air conditioning, and with the current heat waves it is impossible to be comfortable in the room. The beds are very uncomfortable (the mattress comes off the bed base and it seems like you are going to fall), you can hear absolutely everything in the hallways and the patio, and parking costs €6 separately, and you cannot reserve it! So we suffered when we returned at night when we saw that everything was busy...I don't recommend it.

The place is very pretty, however I find the prices to be very expensive. Small room for 3 people. No breakfast offered, coffee machine for a fee.
