We booked this place at the very last moment. We first looked if we could place our boattrailer on the parking. That was possible so we booked. The owner was quite surprised by the abrupt booking but despite that we got full service. After a small improvisation the room was checked and a babybed was installed. The owner was really polite and happy to have us. And we were happy to be guest. To be honoust the outside scared us a bit but the room seem to be a hidden gem. Wonderfull. High ceiling, nice furniture, old but effective sanitary. For us as lovers of authentic buildings this was a bulls eye. The breakfast was personal and really nice. Thanks you once again ‘owner’ (I don’t know your name). Thanks for having us.

It sounded so inviting: a small hotel in a quiet location in an old villa...However, the owner deserves a maximum of 1/2 star for his behavior. The bathroom can only be used by contortionists with ideal weight and narrow shoulders. The breakfast - rather cheap at 9 euros - is only worth a maximum of 1/2 star, although the service here was quite friendly. - We skipped that on the second morning. We then saw the owner, who banged on our door with a loud fist around 10:30 (the question about the checkout time via email from us remained unanswered, even though he admitted that he had read it!) when he was billing for about 15 minutes not again later. That was a good thing too!Summary: We were there twice during this stay: the FIRST and the LAST time.

To put it briefly: an old saddle pad, only held together by paint. |The Positive: The hotel is absolutely clean.|The Negative: Everything else. …

Even if it was only one night, you could have put a small bottle of water and some fruit on the table as a welcome. But dogs are allowed .🙂

The hotel is made in an antique style, but not very well maintained, the walls are shabby. The room is cool in the evening. There is free parking. At 10 a.m. the staff persistently asked when we would leave, somehow strange, if there are limits to check out.

A hotel with charm and a touch of the past but also stylish with very friendly, helpful and committed staff, can only be recommended, small defects can be ignored but the peace in the forest is noticeable

We stayed at the Hotel Waldfriede for one night and we particularly liked it. The hotel has a lot of charm, is well located and very quiet, the rooms and beds are nice and clean and the breakfast was delicious. The owner is great and helpful. A special hotel!

Oh what a sweet discovery! I was looking for accommodation for a party nearby and found it in the Waldfriede. There would certainly be one or two things to complain about compared to usual hotels and their standards. But I see the pretty little villa with its quiet location more as a wonderful work of art. Starting with the reception, the beautiful structure of the building, the rooms... somehow nothing is perfect and that makes the whole thing charming!Anyone who comes here and expects luxury should be warned. If you have a thing for beauty with a few scratches, this is the place for you!
