Renovated spacious standard double room with modern bathroom. We (couple) were unfortunately upset about breakfast as an important point of an overnight stay. Breakfast is officially served until 10 a.m. We came for breakfast at 9:10 a.m. and had leftovers that weren't refilled and weren't properly refrigerated. There is information at the counter that you can specifically ask individually. This led to a discussion about three slices of fresh sausage instead of the now greasy sausage at the buffet. Unfortunately, staff savings are being made at the wrong end here. We wouldn't say it's within walking distance of Idar town center if you're not a sturdy hiker.

We were there with a hiking group for 4 nights and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is very quiet on the mountain. To the center about 20 minutes on foot.Rooms were spacious and in good condition.The staff is very helpful, friendly and was able to resolve inquiries quickly. Since the restaurant is closed, we were still able to eat there for the group on two evenings upon request (in advance). The hotel took care of reservations for the other evenings.A trust-based self-service bar is open 24/7 and water is free.Breakfast was extensive and good.

Nice location with spacious rooms. Everything clean. Nice staff. Very large selection at the breakfast buffet. Recommended. The remote location can only be reached by car. The city center is a bit difficult to reach on foot.

Beautiful, large, modern rooms, with equally spacious bathrooms. Dog was absolutely no problem. Staff very nice and accommodating. I am so excited that I definitely want to vacation in this hotel again

We were here for 1 week. The hotel is really well located on a mountain with a great view and, above all, quiet. The rooms are very neat and clean. The rooms do not have typical room numbers but are divided into different gems, with a learning effect so to speak :)The breakfast buffet is also terrific. Lots of choice and good quality! The service offers a trust bar. Evening and nighttime cravings are catered for here for little money :)All in all, we were very happy with our stay and can only recommend it!

Very nice hotel with an open terrace and a beautiful view. Parking is possible in front of the hotel and behind the hotel where there is enough space. The rooms are very nice and very well maintained. The layout of the rooms in Edelsteinen is also very nicely done.The only thing that "bothered" me a bit was the journey to the hotel, as it is located relatively steeply up a narrow street, but the location is still very nice and there are also plenty of walking opportunities around the area from the hotel beautiful, especially in summer.The prices for the nights and the service are really good, if I ever come to Idar-Oberstein again, I will prefer to come here!

Super nice hotel that really surprised us in many places. For example, you could bottle water for free and there was a self-service bar for a small fee. Our room was very clean and even had a sauna! There was a table tennis table, you could rent badminton and the breakfast was really good too! Unrestricted recommendation

Very nicely located hotel with clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff and a delicious breakfast buffet. Good selection of small self-service snacks. A small menu with various dishes is completely sufficient for dinner. Various outdoor seating groups in a quiet atmosphere invite you to relax.Always happy again, thank you for the short business stay.

Were there for 1 week at the beginning of July 2024, beautifully located in the countryside on a ridge, quiet, enough parking space, had a very nice room, everything was very new and lovingly furnished, an excellent, rich breakfast buffet, we were very satisfied all aroundPaul and Astrid

After the navigation system has sent you along a somewhat questionable "road" and you are on the right path, you find the mountain hotel in a really quiet location.The staff was very friendly and helpful.The room was completely adequate but next time it would be better to take the slightly more expensive room as the mattress made the biggest difference.Breakfast was very tasty and left almost nothing to be desired.

Were here for breakfast brunch. Great selection of everything you need and if something is missing it will be added later. Pancake machine, jam dispenser, honeycomb, gemstone water, tea balls, around lunchtime we switch to schnitzel, fries, salads, etc. Drinks were all included 😎. The service was also great, friendly and competent. 👍The facility is a little difficult to find for people who are not local, but nowadays everyone has a navigation system. We will come back in any case. 🤘😎

Unfortunately I can only give 5🌟.We had registered for brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. via the gourmet block. We were very impressed with the breakfast and lunch selection. The staff was very friendly and took the time to answer questions. The highlight was various healing stones in the water. Nothing was missing. There was even a pancake machine. The drinks, whether warm or cold, were included in the price.We will definitely visit it again.

The location is remote, but very quiet and tranquil. There are no room numbers, just rock crystal names, so you learn something new, which can be a fun game if you have a room with an unusual name. Prices at the self-service booth are high, but some things are available.Rooms very clean and well maintained, again at any time

The location is a matter of opinion, very quiet, but far from the center.The hotel is okay, there is still room for improvement in terms of cleanliness. Breakfast was very good, another positive thing to mention is that there is free water to drink.

The rooms are quite large and have been renovated not too long ago. The reception is very friendly. There is free water and drinks and snacks in a self-service bar. A bit secluded, but quiet.

Quite okay for one night. Location away from the city. But very quiet.Why does everything have to be black?Curtains. Armchair sofa lamps mirror shower floor even the radiatorsAnd the toilet roll and fittings?Breakfast nothing special.You have to clear it yourself, but not everyone does it and so it doesn't look so greatBecause nobody clears up and the dirty stuffDishes remain on the table.Why are staff cuts being made here?That's actually not possible in this price range.
