Enjoyed it wonderfully. The houses have been incredibly renovated since the last time and the swimming pool and other areas have also had a nice facelift. The buffet was very extensive. Everyone had been thought of and the quality was good. We would love to come back again. Everything is still in tip top condition, beautiful nature. And even when it is very busy like now, everything runs smoothly.

Went to this park for the second time with grandchildren because of their enthusiasm about the climbing hall with the Dutch-speaking climbing supervisor Jurre, a great person who is very friendly. That makes a holiday special and personal. Climbing hall is very safe due to automatic winches. Cottages are located in the beautiful Hunsruck National Park with extensive forests. House is fully furnished with new equipment. TV also with Dutch channels. Funny layout due to its location on a hill. Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. In short: a nice cottage park for people who are looking for peace and quiet and simple, compact entertainment for small children, such as an up-to-date playground. And yes, it is an area with steep hills that require some lugging of your luggage.

Checking in and rebooking food hassle-free.Staff very friendly and helpful.Apartment clean, only mattresses and couch a bit too soft for us.The evening buffet was particularly great, rich, varied and extremely tasty. The swimming pool was also great, and the temperatures of the water and the room itself were very pleasant. We also really liked the jump park.

There are bedside lamps in the bedroom but there is no socket anywhere in sight. IThe beds are super narrow, the “fireplace package” consists of 8 pieces of wood and cost €20. Staff makes an effort.Unlike other reviews, the rooms are clean. My mistake, I should have made sure that the complex was really far away from the main house. Also my mistake, I should have made sure that the swimming pool is only open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and that the indoor playground is not part of the complex but costs extra.

As a family we were guests at the Hambachtal holiday park for a week.Unfortunately I only have to give the park three stars, but more on that later.Park layout:Located on a slope, you have to be pretty good on foot if you get a house at the top. The outdoor areas are rather poorly maintained; weeds often sprout on stairs and cracks. The paths to the playgrounds are not paved, which leads to undesirable wet shoes and pants when the grass is damp (especially in autumn). The outside of the main house could also be renovated and the roofs of the houses could be cleared of moss and the facades repainted. Unfortunately, one gets the impression that the park is being neglected by Success Holiday Parks.Swimming pool:Unfortunately the big minus, which is why I have to deduct a full two stars.Changing rooms are not temperature-controlled, when you come out of the bathroom it is just too cold, you can't leave it like that. The bulbs are also missing in some places, so it's too dark and the sockets are exposed -> that's not possibleLockers are metal lockers from the 80s with a coin catcher that no longer exists, so the coins fall down and people tend to forget them - > extra money?Showers...??...seem to be out of service for a long time, and apparently there is no effort to fix this quickly, as they (as described in other reviews) have been out of service for a long time. So hygienic access to the actual bathroom is impossible. Accordingly, the chlorine has to work so hard that it smells strongly of chlorine. You can't shower after the bath either. -> that doesn't work at allSlide: The entrance has been repaired here and there, overall it is heavily rusted. When we visited there was also an unpleasant smell of urine. The coating on the outside of the slide was already coming off.The rest of the condition of the bathroom could be described as “just fine”, for us adults it was a visit, then no more.My daughter reported an incident the following day in which a USED tampon was lying half in, half out on the edge of the pool. Here the swimming pool supervisor probably removed the object and took no further action. Here everyone would have had to leave the bathroom, clean the bathroom and disinfect it with shock chlorination for 24 hours….none.Staff:You can't say anything negative here. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and always nice.Even when the restaurant got busy, there was never anyone who wasn't friendly and nice. Also at the reception or the building technician. There is no deduction here.Overall, I would like to give 5 stars because of the many positive impressions and experiences, but unfortunately the swimming pool is dragging everything down at the moment.Nevertheless, we will come back because there is a lot of positive things and the children had a lot of fun there and the area offers lots of excursions and activities. Conclusion: Don't let the swimming pool put you off, you don't have to use it, but the rest and the surrounding area are great.

Those who arrived on October 21st stood in a 20 meter queue in front of reception. It took an hour until we got the house keys. When we arrived at the house it was already 5 p.m., as the swimming pool closes at 6 p.m. we couldn't go in. The next day we went to the swimming pool, which doesn't open until 12 p.m., where we stood in line again.

The rooms were not cleaned properly. There were still crumbs and hair on the floor and the toilet smelled strongly of urine. The sink drain in the bathroom was blocked. Some of the electrical appliances were defective. The swimming pool is broken in several places and the showers don't work, so all guests were in the water without showering. However, the nature is fantastic and the service is great. The entire system would have to be completely overhauled. Addition: The path lighting is partially broken, so you need a flashlight to avoid tripping or twisting your ankle due to the holes in the sidewalk slabs. The food at the buffet is good, but the room has the feel of a canteen.

We stayed in the comfort bungalow for a week. The house is OK, minimalistically furnished. (4 plates for 3 people, etc.) Unfortunately there was some mold in the bathroom. All in all, the facility is a bit old. The WiFi is a complete disaster. The food was okay, buffet with different offers. Since we booked in advance, the information would have been very helpful. The seating area is unfortunately in canteen mode. It all feels very overpriced. There is no waste separation here either, the rubbish goes into a large bin. The entire system is maintained, open lines and distributions are impossible, that never works!!!!!
