We stayed in this youth hostel from Friday to Sunday last weekend.We were warmly welcomed.The entire staff there is very hospitable and accommodating.The food was delicious.There was eveningSoup, 2 menus, one of them vegetarian,Sausage/cheese platters, bread, salads and dessert.Everything was fresh and delicious and because my niece cannot tolerate lactose, they cooked her a separate menu. I thought that was really great.We were more than satisfied and will therefore be happy to come back :)

We are currently permanent guests in the youth hostel. This is a small but very cozy youth hostel. The rooms are very clean. The staff and the hostel mother are super nice. The food (breakfast and dinner) is typical of a youth hostel, but super tasty.Absolutely recommended!

When we were there the machine was 70% empty and there was no toilet paper in the room. But this was probably due to the fact that on the same day we came, a school class was there shortly before and had vandalized the hostel and even set off the fire alarm. The team does a great job, but some of them also seem a bit annoyed and ready for a vacation. Thank you for your work.

Very nice rooms but unfortunately the staff was absolutely unfriendly and the food was a complete disaster. My daughter had to throw up and the bread was so dry, which was a shame

Terrible!!! The food is disgusting, there are dead insects in the food, the rolls are made of stones. There's mold growing in the rooms, insects crawling around, some white spots on the floor, etc... Service is catastrophic, everyone is arrogant and unfriendly. It feels like a prison. I hope that this youth hostel will be demolished soon!!! Not recommended!!!!!!!!

We were there for 2 nights. Very nice, idyllic youth hostel from the outside with great outdoor areas. Good location. Inside is a bit old. Nice dining room. Rooms were clean, small, but functional. Finally, you shouldn't forget that this is a youth hostel and not a hotel ;-) Very nice, courteous staff who always had a smile on their faces (even when they were very stressed :-) Dinner was always very tasty . Salads maybe a little spicy, but maybe it's a matter of taste. The selection at the buffet in the morning was sufficient, but could perhaps have been a little more generous. All in all we felt very comfortable :-)

I've been to many hostels before, but this visit was the biggest adventure so far.The rooms are very small. If you want to sleep in a bunk bed, you shouldn't be prone to seasickness, as some beds are very unstable. You shouldn't spend too long in the shower, as the light in the bathroom runs on a motion sensor - showering in the dark becomes a special experience.The highlight of this trip was the food. You're used to a lot of things and you know that you can't expect a star-studded dish... But I've never experienced the fact that you have to add what feels like half a kilo of salt to the food so that it even tastes like something and even the chocolate pudding is inedible. Thank you at this point that you can find enough alternatives for eating out within walking distance.Lounge rooms are also advertised on the homepage. These are not available - bad if you visit this JHB for a training camp.If you are traveling for business and need WiFi, you should bring your own mobile router.Once and never again!

The rooms were in a dilapidated condition and very small but at least clean. The food was, to say the least, an adventure in taste confusion and simply tasteless. Participating in 21st century life is made difficult in this location because Wi-Fi doesn't work.Basically, the entire accommodation could do with a general overhaul. If you want to take a trip with your family to the clichés of the youth hostel from the 70s, you've come to the right place.

There are about 50 people in this flophouse.All 50 people dissatisfied.Food not recommended at all. Always the same Tk food as the day before. Coffee undrinkable.You only get tap water to drink. (although water was specified for every meal)If you like to cuddle, the 4-person rooms are recommended. They are very frightening and you can hardly move. Bathrooms shouldn't be a bit more powerful either.The beds are a disaster.The best alternative for children to test whether they can get seasick because they rock like they do on a ship with strong waves.(loft bed)Oh, and taller than 5 feetYou shouldn't be for these beds either.If it gets dark, then I can't recommend the one high at the back.The path is so poorly laid out that you can't play dominoes with children because they all go there one after the other. There is no light.So if you're looking for an adventure here, it's probably worthless, there's a lot to discover... in a negative sense. NEVER EVER NEVER AGAIN!!

The room was largely clean and functional, although very small.Unfortunately, the food was absolutely not recommended.It was positive that a vegetarian option was always offered, but the entire meal was very tasteless.The selection and quantity was small and not enough for everyone.This youth hostel is not recommended for large groups as there are no lounges.It's a shame that this ruined a well-planned weekend.

I've been to a lot of youth hostels, but it's crazy, the food is so bad and when you come to eat 10 minutes later there's almost nothing left! With the WiFi you can't even google! Don't go here under any circumstances!

As a 50-year-old, I have already experienced and seen a lot, but this youth hostel is really not recommended. The kitchen is a joke. Absolutely inedible and zero selection. I've never seen children go to bed hungry and adults can hardly find words because of their anger.

Great program, super delicious food and very warm support as usual with you. Stay as you are, all the best until next time. Best regards.Meise and Co. It was a wonderful weekend. Highly recommended for children an experience. With the forester for titmice etc. “haueschen” bird feeder made by yourself. Been out in the fresh air a lot.Great hostel with everything you need. Great price-performance ratio. Something for everyone. Children playing, great fall program. Thanks to the mega friendly team at the Hermeskeil youth hostel.Baking stick bread on the campfire was very nice. It was an experience. Thank you very much.Update from 12.2023... 3rd AdventIt was a wonderful weekend. Baking cookies, making crafts, and making bread by the fire. The people offer you an all-round carefree package. Very friendly delicious food. Highly recommend this Hermeskeil youth hostel, especially for families. Many thanks to the team.
