the room and location were perfect, only room service from the cleaners was allowed in the afternoon instead of only when you were still sleeping and then not coming again. I have to go to the counter every time to ask for new towels...had asked for a room with 2 single beds on the website, but got a room with a double bed, the beds were as hard as a rock and so I had a stiff neck all week. The room was very warm so I turned on the AC but it didn't work at all. I was awake all night because of the heat, so I opened the window. breakfast is way too expensive for what you get, it is only until 11 am on weekends and until 10 am otherwise, very little choice and way too expensive, less than 100 meters away there is a tent (carambar) with good food, cheap and breakfast until 2 p.m. great for late risers. but all in all we had a nice stay, just a shame about these number of points

Amazing hotel in the super center of Berlin, very close to everything- public transport, Humbolt university all museums, restaurants and the historic part! Perfect price and very very clean room as always! I am visiting it everytime when I am in Berlin!

This hotel was a let down given the positive reviews I had read before visiting. Upon checking in, the person working the receptionist (I did not get his name) was rude and seemingly combative with allowing us to drop out bags off before out room was ready. When we returned, the receptionists had changed and they could not find our bags. We had to search the back rooms for our luggage as they had no idea where it had been put. Along with this, the hotel did not have any Wifi for 2 of the 3 days we stayed at the hotel, making any and all communication difficult as we were visiting from out side of the country. The rooms were also a huge let down. They are extremely small, have no closets to hang clothing and no phones to call the front desk. At one point, the power in our room went out while a guest was in the shower, so we had to go down stairs to get this resolved instead of being able to call. The only upside to this hotel is being so close to a major transportation zone.

I was pleasantly surprised: the rooms are very small, but functional and sufficient if you don't expect a desk. Working with a laptop is not really possible in the corporate rate standard room.The breakfast was surprisingly good and in a stylishly appealing atmosphere.The side facing the S-Bahn is very noisy, but thanks to the very good double windows, it's somewhat bearable at night. I would still prefer a room on another side.Paying at check-in, but being able to leave immediately at check-out is fine.The view from the 18th floor (rooftop bar, unfortunately only indoors) is worth seeing.The location is hard to beat if you want to go out or shop and the U8 is right around the corner. Definitely recommended for the price (€99).

A chic hotel in the middle of Berlin with a very good view of the Berlin TV Tower if you book the appropriate room with a view. Location is of course great, you can even see another Motel One near Hackescher Markt. Also ideal for shopping. Alexa and Rathauspassen can be reached quickly. I was there for the Festival of Lights and when you finish the tour at Alexanderplatz it's only a short walk to the hotel. The rooftop bar is also recommended, see the review. I found the room OK just in terms of size, but perhaps a bit tight for two people. The typical Motel One armchair is comfortable. Great view, but also dangerous. You can open the floor-to-ceiling window, then only a half-height pane of glass separates you from the ground. I would have expected a stable grid. Bathroom narrow, but OK, but a nice big shower, very good. Zear doesn't have a refrigerator, so I didn't need one. A bottle of water was free. Unfortunately, the television was completely unsuitable for TV sticks. I couldn't connect and Smart View didn't work properly either because the connections were weak or impaired. Socket too far away. I would still recommend the hotel with the TV tower view. You can also see the town hall, cathedral and Gendarmenmarkt.

Unfortunately, Motel One will charge your credit card even if you cancel on time. The confirmation states that you can cancel free of charge up to 2 weeks in advance. But that's not true, even if you cancel 4 weeks in advance, you still pay 50%. Really annoying.

Quite often at Motel One and they are usually great. Alexander Platz is not an exception but I would work on the speed of the check in process at peakhours and definitely the service at the roof top bar! For the rest is a 5 stars as always!

Room was clean. But what didn't work was that they deliberately tried to rip us off (my opinion) I spent €170 on one during the Festival of Lights! Paid nightly.Extra for a view room. When I asked at reception which direction the room faced, the blonde, chubby lady who trained the new colleague at reception simply said "it has a view, you had booked a view".Also, doing onboarding in such detail during rush hour is a no go!So we drove up to a room with a view of the TV tower, to Grunerstrasse!Unbelievable! The lady of (Slavic?) origin, on the other hand, was very customer-oriented and friendly on the phone and at the counter and said that it had been a booking error.Well. Then perhaps the lady at the reception should have been more careful when I even asked again what I was paying the surcharge for and what direction the room was facing!

The room was small but modern and clean. The lobby and rooftop bar are stylishly decorated.The location is great if you want to stay centrally.But there is one point of criticism: Clearing the tables in the breakfast room (floor 2) is sometimes unreasonable. There weren't many happy places and they were still full of the previous dishes. And the dishes were there for a long time before they were cleared away. That really didn't make a good impression.
