Dear team from the “European Court”,Dear Dr. von Kretschmann,My "favorite person" had given me this two-night stay because I once suggested in a subordinate clause that I would like to stay overnight in the "European Court in HD" (because the history of the hotel and what I read or read). , always very impressive - even though I don't live far away.I have now finally put this gift into practice, even though I certainly don't correspond to the more upscale clientele - but I could and should treat myself to a hotel like this on a special occasion. ;-)I can only agree with the praising reviewers around me: this feeling of staying here within a large hotel family with all these different teams does something to you.The friendliness, the great warmth and the type of communication are the outstanding features - no matter where you are: at breakfast, in the restaurant or bar, in the SPA area, at the reception, in the outdoor area, etc.I'm very impressed that there are still so many workshops on site, from carpenters, upholsterers, electricians to laundry companies for certain types of laundry (and many that I've now forgotten). - This collaboration between so many professions is simply brilliant and you automatically learn from each other.Every detail is lovingly cared for and yes: the senior manager really takes care of the ambience, the flowers, decorations and so much more, day in and day out.The guests are greeted personally - every day - unbelievable. Where else do you experience this? Our world would be better if we treated each other like this.Of course, in a company like this there are certainly people - like in the best family - but this is probably communicated in a very special way; The team is at the top, the “WE love what we do” is the premise and is reflected in the individuality of the employees. Thanks alot!I, too, have learned to establish a little more hotel life at home: set up nice niches and corners. Make some things more practical - some ideas came to me during my stay... and are being implemented bit by bit.Small side note: I was very impressed by the chandeliers, lamps and lights of all kinds (amongst so many other things) - and I imagined what it would be like when you change the bulbs ;-) - on all floors, in all rooms . I would be there - you stay sporty here :-D.You can feel (or guess after less than 48 hours of staying) that a living and modern system is at work here, constantly developing - like an organism (organization) and at the same time this modern tradition is interwoven - based on fundamental warmth and concern for each individual .I wish you, dear von Kretschmann family, and all your employees at this wonderful hotel all the best and thank you for the impressive time with you!SincerelyA. Even at the high level of 5 star hotels there are differences. The European court in Heidelberg is right at the top. Pure luxury and the unconditional desire of everyone involved to accommodate and serve every guest in the best possible way. Relatively rare these days, there is a cozy smoking lounge with a humidor cabinet and fine cigars. Live music from the piano and beautiful cars on the hotel driveway are also offered. All in all really first class.

Well, where do I start now? I was looking for an exceptional hotel and found it at the European Court. It's your hotel's fault, so to speak, that we went to Heidelberg for three days and not to Hamburg. From the start I had the feeling that I had made the right choice. Communication with the hotel was very good and my questions were answered very quickly and in a friendly manner. When we arrived we were greeted very courteously. We were also able to move into our rooms before 3 p.m., which is really not a given. On the way there we were shown various rooms such as the breakfast room. Our junior suites were really nice and spacious. It didn't bother me at all that the bathroom tiles were a bit older, who renovates their bathroom every year? I think it's much more important that the rooms were very clean. I also thought the shower was great because I didn't need any training to use it :-).Afterwards I had reserved a tea time in the lobby so we could get a first impression of the lobby and bar. Everything is very nice and elegant and looks much better than in the photos on the internet. The tea time was really great and very plentiful, no one was hungry in the evening.Later we also tried cocktails at the bar. Afterwards I can only say that Mr. März knows a lot about it. The prices are quite high though. But I prefer to spend a little more on good cocktails and not drink mediocre ones. The next morning we were greeted very nicely by Ms. Schramm and the other ladies on the breakfast team. The breakfast itself left nothing to be desired and so you enjoyed trying out delicacies that you wouldn't be able to prepare at home. For me, the spa area falls under the category of small but nice. I found it completely sufficient; it is clearly stated on the internet how big it is and what it contains. The European Court is a city hotel and not a wellness hotel. Wellness hotels are usually located at the A.... er...... end of the world. I booked a few treatments and afterwards we all felt at least 10 years younger :-). Ms. Brandner's team really did a great job here and pampered us very much.A special highlight for us was the visit to the Kurfürstenstube. The restaurant itself is beautiful with its wooden paneling and very well decorated. I had booked the “Culinary Wine Trip” package. We were treated to a 5-course menu with matching wines. And yes, everything was perfect: from the ambience to the wonderful menu and well-selected wines. Mr. Fehse guided us through the evening in a very entertaining way, but I would also like to mention the other friendly "ghosts" around the restaurant manager, Mr. Pohl, who gave us an evening that we will not soon forget. We met Mr. and Mrs. von Kretschmann briefly a few times and it was nice to see the dedication with which they both looked after the hotel, but especially the team and the other guests. What remains clear to me is that my gut feeling did not deceive me when choosing the European Court. On the contrary, you all contributed to making our stay in Heidelberg an unforgettable experience.Oh yes: the duckling is really ❤️ lovely 😀.
