Spontaneous booking for the same day was possible. However, I felt like a troublemaker, even though I was a paying guest, as the reception was not characterized by warmth or hospitality but rather people were quickly fobbed off even though there was nothing going on. Considering it's a hotel, it costs €70 a night - not even shower gel or hand soap available. But a beautiful wild garden and a rural location.

It's hidden deep in the forest, everything is very quiet, the rooms are very nice. From the outside everything looks a bit unfinished but it's not like that. It's not completely plastered yet but the rooms are very tidy and clean. I can only recommend very nice owners. A paradise for children too.

Very warm hospitality, unfortunately we were only there to eat and drink, but we will stay there over Pentecost next year.The food was really excellent.The schnapps and liqueurs (sourced from a nearby schnapps distillery) are also highly recommended.

The hotel is family-run and the couple puts a lot of passion into the renovation. The rooms are very nice. Food is great, plentiful and tasty. The price is absolutely reasonable to cheap.The two of them haven't finished the renovation work on the outside yet, so don't let your first impression be your guide!I'll be back!Overall, I only give it 3 ⭐ because there is still a little work to be done and it has to match expectations.

Spent the night here with children for winter sports in Winterberg. Not a moment of regret: Beautiful surroundings, spacious rooms. Cupboard with games, excellent menu (but many options are also available outside the menu). Recommended!

It's an OK place but not great. It is clean and the owners are very friendly. The decor is quite dated, my room could have done with some paint and it seems the owners are heavy smokers and they smoke in the building which really put me off as I could smell the smoke in my room. There was no soap in the bathroom and the shower was either ice cold or boiling hot which was really annoying. The towels smelled clean but there was a stain on one of them. It's alright for what it is and it is in a beautiful spot but I won't be coming back.

A hotel with its own charm and character. From the outside you think that it might be closed, but inside you are greeted by a beautiful old architectural style, some with open half-timbering. All plumbing and beds have been replaced with flooring. There are no problems with the beds even for tall people, as there are no footboards. The owner couple really tries hard and is extremely friendly so that the guests really don't lack for anything. The hotel is also constantly being modernized, which is possible given the current and economic circumstances. In addition to the hotel, there is also a very tasty dining option here. However, the portions are really big, but very tasty. However, you can also get smaller portions on the menu during appropriate opening times. There was currently no TV in our room, which wasn't a problem for us. I assume that this will be remedied. Since the hotel is located in beautiful green surroundings and therefore very far away in a valley, the WiFi is unfortunately very weak here. Therefore only three stars for the place. We will definitely come back again as soon as possible. What was also very positive was the love for animals shown by both couples. Thumbs up and keep it up!!!
