I spontaneously ventured on the late summer Ruhr Valley cycle path and was able to get a room with you. It was the right end to the first day of cycling. A very friendly welcome, an exemplary installation of my e-bike, a great room and a really good breakfast. It's just a shame that your restaurant was already fully booked for the evening. So: too bad for me :-)

We were on the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path and were looking for a hotel in Arnsberg at short notice. There was still some space available at the Hotel Menge, so we quickly booked a junior suite. It was a little more expensive, but there was nothing else.A very good choice, great room, almost new, very spacious and a really great bathroom with a separate toilet. Only the bathroom door was nerfed, as either the bathroom was open or the separate toilet. The bed was very large, but a bit hard for me (even though there was a topper on it)We also ate in the restaurant - that was an experience: Everything was freshly prepared, first-class products from the local area - Sauerland salmon trout with fresh chanterelles and homemade spaghetti - I have never eaten such a great combination. I'd be happy to pay a little more, but I don't have the standard price for it... like schnitzel with fries from the deep fryer. All around a positive surprise.Unfortunately, on nice days, the main street in front of the door is a race track for motorcycle freaks - it's a shame that there isn't a nice speed camera to stop you.

The barbecue and wine evening was a great experience! Due to the weather, the event was moved indoors at short notice and the grill became a tour of the kitchen. Nice idea! And when it came to wine, there was something for every taste, the explanations about the wine were interesting and entertaining and there was no skimping on the wine!It was a completely successful evening! Many thanks to the team at Hotel Menge and the Mathern von der Nahe winery!

Room was nice and quiet. In the room, light summer beds would be nice or 40 × 80 cm pillows. The breakfast (staff was very helpful and accommodating)

Unfortunately, we and 4 men only stayed in this excellent hotel for one night as part of the Ruhrtalradweg tour and unfortunately we were not able to test the certainly excellent restaurant. Otherwise we can only say that it is absolutely worth taking a rest here overnight. Absolutely 🔝
