The room and bathroom were very large (the luxury double room), we got it for the normal price, probably because the whirlpool bathtub was broken.The room was icy because the windows were open. But it's good that the windows were open, otherwise it would have smelled even more like room fragrance. I just don't like that kind of thing.Bed was great, TV was good... but the furnishings didn't fit together.Rather uncomfortable, also because of the cold terracotta floors. The shower had a flow limiter that unlocked...at least not for me ;)...that wasn't all that luxurious either.We then had dinner in the in-house restaurant (-20% for guests), which was nice and tasty.Overall it's quite expensive and of good quality, but I wouldn't hire the interior designers...Unfortunately, the hotel is on a busy street and our luxury room faced the front.The breakfast was of a good standard, although you should pay extra for scrambled eggs and bacon or similar.The staff was consistently very nice and fit!

Very clean, small room, the food was very tasty, including the greetings from the kitchen.The service excellent. Attentive and exceptionally friendly.Unfortunately, my room faced the main road, so it was unpleasantly loud all night long.But nobody can do anything about traffic.

Great hotel, great service. Modern, functional rooms. New, large bathroom. Quiet location facing the garden. Hotel guests receive a 20% discount during the week in the restaurant, which really cooks and serves the finest. However: The registration form had to be filled out, even though it was abolished on January 1st, 2024.

The kitchen alone deserves 5 stars. The prices are more than just reasonable for the really good cuisine. There are no compromises when it comes to service either. Kind and courteous. It was again really tasty and so cozy. Haus Gerbens in Wickede has a wonderful team. They know how to pamper their guests. Very friendly and we feel welcome there and special requests could also be easily implemented in the kitchen. What is very remarkable is that they work almost silently behind the counter. I noticed that straight away. Otherwise you can always hear the clattering of dishes or the coffee machine being used or the cutlery rattling. Not here. The friendly and young staff are very careful with what they have in their hands. An oasis of peace despite the many guests. The distance between the tables is also very generous, so that we could chat without being disturbed. The food was a poem. Reservations are important so that you can get a place. We were there for the third time and would love to come back. Thanks to the entire team.

We were in the restaurant. *** Chef made very good wontons. Overall, everything is positive, a little less PacoJet. A lot of it was just more cream than sauce. Beautiful garden!

After a 50 km bike ride and then a 2 km climb uphill, there was nothing to drink and nothing to eat at the booked hotel.The reason was a company. If we had known that we would have eaten something along the way.We were 8 people.Four cyclists came after us and they didn't get anything either.We could have been informed about this in advance.

I received a very friendly welcome and had a small, clean room with a comfortable bed. Everything okay so far.What doesn't work at all is the main entrance door. This is right under the room and bangs so hard when you open and close it that the lamp in the room vibrates and you stand upright in bed. Big drawback, very unfortunate.
