Beautifully located youth hostel, unfortunately many things are very old and in need of renovation. The cleanliness is moderate. Unfortunately, the food was only okay and some of the warm dishes were served cold. Some of the staff were friendly and tried very hard, some were really annoyed and aggressive. WiFi is good and stable.

The room wasn't super clean but not dirty either. Only the corners on the ceiling could have used a feather duster. The beds were typical DJH. As an idea, you could offer optional fall protection for the lower beds, since a 2 year old doesn't necessarily have to sleep in the top of the bed, but falls out at the bottom, but of course there are also baby beds as options. The breakfast was sufficiently varied and was replenished all the time. The staff was very friendly to us throughout and the highlight for us was the toddlers' playroom, the key of which you can get from reception upon request. As far as we saw, there was little on site for children between toddlers and teenagers. It was definitely great for us as a transit stop.

The staff was very irritable. The water and food situation was catastrophic and a disgrace. Due to the rule that you weren't allowed to take drinks or food with you and there were no water dispensers, you were forced to buy a water box for €16 (absolute extortion). Accessibility via public transport was great and the nearest supermarket was an hour's walk away. The room furnishings were very simple and needed renovation. The shower did not have the ability to provide lukewarm water. The society was bottomless and frightening. Last but not least, the insect infestation was just as annoying as the staff.

The youth hostel at Möhnesee is really beautifully located. The staff is courteous and helpful. Whether you would like to have excursion options explained or insider tips, they are available for everything. Always friendly and accommodating. The room we had was functional and, what we were happy about, had a TV.The breakfast was delicious.

The first thing we didn’t like was the staff, they weren’t friendly, they didn’t help with questions, if you lost something, you can forget about it. Dirty rooms, a lot of dust, I'm allergic to it, very dirty in the rooms, clogged showers and sinks, the elevator doesn't work. There are no screens on the windows, there are a lot of spiders and other insects. You are not allowed to bring your own water and food; the rules only say about alcohol. In the canteen they take food with their hands without gloves!!!! A lot of things are broken, the rooms are very small, about 4 square meters and there are 4 beds. There is no Internet. There are unwashed fruits in the dining room. At ten o'clock you cannot leave your rooms.

VERY unfriendly staff! There is no respect or empathy towards customers. Anyone who wants to spend time here and hold some events will be disappointed! Our bus was late and the staff threw our children out in the rain arguing that your time was closed, go away! And what shocked us the most was that they started threatening us with the police :/

Well, I'm very shocked at the reviews that are written here!I'm no longer surprised by the PISA study (grammar and spelling are a tragedy) and the comparison with a hotel is very flawed...:-))))We had a great weekend stay with our youth handball team and live for the style of a youth hostel! (Yes, not a hotel!!!!!!)An extensive menu for hostel standards with a chef who even accommodates food requests such as gluten-free pasta...It's actually not his job! Thank you, dear Oliver -)Gudrun, you good soul at reception are open, warm and always have an open ear!The boys were able to gratefully accept your offers such as table tennis, football and swimming etc.!We are super satisfied, keep it up and don't let inappropriate and amateurish comments spoil your joy!Hopefully see you soon!Your Flo from Letmather TV
