Delicious cheese spätzle (according to an authentic recipe), with a semolina pudding with finger-licking berry sauce. And also stayed in an apartment there for a few days; a wonderful base from which you can discover Celle.

On Sunday evening my wife and I were in the restaurant, we had already found something delicious, but the nice waitress then reported that we couldn't order anything with our gourmet block today.Well, you can have a bad time with your guests👎

We had lunch in the restaurant on Wednesday and were the only guests. The innkeeper was very nice and talkative. The menu is currently being constantly revised, at least it looked different online and on site. I would describe the food itself as mediocre. The cheese spaetzle on my Schwapas plate were just slightly watery, creamy noodles and the lentils could have come from a can. The Maultaschen was pretty tasty and the bread served with it was okay. The "original" Wiener Schnitzel was very small and the breading unfortunately did not stand out from the meat. The fried potatoes were good and the spaetzle too. There was a small starter salad with the meat dishes, but not with the Schwapas platter.
