There was no one in reception on the day of arrival. We had to wait several minutes. No greeting and a very rude tone from the lady. We stayed at the HOTEL. According to the pictures, the rooms are in old but good condition. Unfortunately, that is not the truth. Very old and worn furniture. In the bathroom, broken silicone joints in the shower, loud fan, air in the water pipes so that the faucet and toilet flush make noises. There was a strong smell of cold smoke and drains in the hallway leading to the room. The breakfast was at a poor youth hostel level. Dry little rolls with little choice of toppings.Only the coffee was good.

Staff very unfriendly when you ask why there is a stranger sitting at the table. There was very, very thick dust above the bed in room 212, where even in the evening the lady came and tried to clean it and said that the way it looked here, it had never been dustedBeds located through.Toilet lid much too small for the toilet. The only positive is the location.Unfortunately not recommended.

- smells musty- Renovation would be nice- Bars nearby are almost non-existent- only for overnight stay but ok- Rolls at breakfast tasted a bit old; Spread was good- Completely ok for just an overnight stay when visiting an amusement park- Parking options are more than poor- Unfortunately the room reservation went wrong, the staff seemed nice but overwhelmed

The great, central location and the hotel's own parking lot should be positively mentioned. In addition, the staff at the reception were really friendly and personable.Unfortunately, that was all the positive impressions. The hotel has not been renovated since the 80s/90s. As soon as you enter you notice a musty smell, as if there was a mold problem here, in any case it smells damp and musty. The old floorboards creak so loudly that they wake you up at night, everything is very noisy, despite the double doors. The equipment is simply worn out, partly defective. The cleaning does its best, but it can't be fixed anymore. The silicone joints had mold, the shower fittings were defective, water was flowing in all directions and at strange temperatures. The shower wall can hardly be moved. This hotel needs to be completely renovated. Now to things that are easier to change: the rolls for breakfast are rock hard: baked too early and/or too long.Canned fruit: it can't be a problem to prepare a fresh fruit salad, it would definitely be eaten. You have to look for the staff at the breakfast buffet if you want a warm cocoa. All in all, I have never slept in such a bad hotel or hostel.

The hotel is easily accessible and in the center of Soltau. There is free parking for guests in the backyard. Shops and the rest of the city can be reached quickly. The price for an overnight stay with breakfast was okay. So guests have free WiFi.The hotel is located on a busy street, so we were often woken up at night by the fire department sirens. In addition, the rooms are very noisy. The furniture is a bit older and in need of modernization, but everything is clean and tidy. The staff at reception and at breakfast were very friendly.

Unfortunately, as I read in other reviews, that was it.The house is getting old, old furniture, old carpets, the floor squeaks, some cables hanging loose. The rooms are in need of renovation - especially the mattresses have done their job. The window in our room wasn't tight...There was an old musty smell everywhere in the house. The service was limited to a minimum, okay for me.I was surprised that there were so many people sitting at breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was okay, unfortunately there wasn't really anything fresh (fruit or cucumbers, for example) at the buffet, but everyone could find what they were looking for.Price (€95 for a double room with breakfast)/performance didn't match at all.

You can clearly see in the pictures that the rooms are getting old. What you don't see, however, is dirt, loose toilet lids, stains and unfriendly staff.I have no problem with old furniture, they still do what they're supposed to do, but the mattresses are an absolute hit, I think I could feel every body shape that has ever laid in this bed, cruel and absolutely not back-friendly!If you are a light sleeper, be prepared for the upper tenants to flush their toilets or other noises. The shower head was very dirty, but the room itself was clean. When I asked the receptionist to please screw the toilet seat tight because you had the feeling of slipping into the toilet, an older lady suggested to me in an extremely unfriendly manner that she couldn't do anything without my room number - that was the end of the story, apparently They don't do much with my room number either. The breakfast is not particularly extensive but is completely sufficient and there is something for everyone, you don't miss anything. The rest of the staff is absolutely worthy of mention, always friendly, greeting and wishing you a nice day.The hotel is very centrally located in Soltau and there are great restaurants and winding streets within walking distance. There's supposed to be dinner in the hotel itself, but I think that's just a rumor. All in all, I would recommend the hotel if you are passing through for a day, but for longer stays I recommend something more comfortable

The hotel should be renovated urgently, the staff is fine and the breakfast should be free, so for the price it's an absolute disgrace
