We ate there twice but didn't stay overnight. Reservation of a table is recommended. The map is small but nice. There was also always a daily offer. Very nice service, very tasty food. Price reasonable

For our wedding anniversary, the three of us wanted to have a particularly nice meal there, like in previous years. Unfortunately, this time a disappointing visit; From the placement to the food, it was nowhere near what we were used to. The steak alone was excellent. That was a shame and saddened us.

High-quality cuisine, you can understand that. everyone has something different underneath. The venison leg was very good, plus croquettes from the package(?) No go! The vegetarian dish seemed creatively different from the usual omission of meat=vegetarian. Unfortunately a bit bland. Salt didn't help either. However, the service was very attentive, competent and nice. As already said in other reviews: good country inn but upscale, no! Prices are too high for that!

We stayed there overnight and had breakfast. The rooms are modernized and very clean. The staff is super friendly, the breakfast was amazing. Everything was delicious, scrambled eggs were freshly made. And there was a birthday greeting from the house. Really fully recommended!

Very nice little cozy inn. Nice, well-kept rooms, good service. Very nice hosts. The breakfast is very generous and has everything your heart desires, something for everyone! Class! I will definitely come back and can only recommend it. Greetings to Südheide and see you soon...

We went on holiday for a week in Südheide at the beginning of September and decided on the Hotel-Gasthaus Ohlendorf. We got the holiday apartment for our week. Very nice apartment, large bathroom and a nice terrace where you can sit in peace in the evenings. The owners and staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Bicycles can be stored in the adjacent barn and also charged there. Parking spaces directly at the house. The food in the associated inn is great and tastes excellent. Mondays and Fridays are burger/steak day! The breakfast is very, very extensive and leaves nothing to be desired. You can quickly get to the heath by bike and do lots of bike tours. We had a great week and can recommend the Hotel-Gasthaus Ohlendorf 100%. Thank you everyone for a great week.

The review is only for the restaurant, have not stayed overnight. We enjoyed the food and it was good. However, in terms of style, it corresponded to a good middle-class inn (quantity, presentation/décor, taste experience). The website suggested something different, more refined/elegant to us. Please do not interpret this as a review, but simply as an impression or statement from our perspective. Overall, the service made a very nice and professional impression. Maybe we personally had a bit of bad luck in the next room.

An all-round successful stay.We were greeted warmly and this continued throughout our entire stay. The house was renovated about 2/3 years ago.Both the exterior and interior were well maintained. There was a nice beer garden. Since it's always busy, it makes sense to make a reservation.It was clean and well maintained.The counter area was cozy, with a pleasant atmosphere. There was also the restaurant area and the breakfast room, which was also used for parties. Despite having large company on several occasions, the restaurant business went well.The rooms are clean, sometimes a bit small but sufficient and some with air conditioning.All employees were helpful.Breakfast buffet was well stocked. Coffee and cocoa were available at will from a well-stocked machine.The food was excellent. We were completely satisfied with both the starters, main courses and desserts.The meat (Heidschnucke, schnitzel, rump steak and liver) was tender and tasty. The plates are nicely prepared and the portions are good.The dog was also welcome. Many guests stayed 1 to 3 nights.We'd love to come back.

We ate here for the first time last night. It was definitely the last time! We ordered the matjes with herb potatoes and sock beans, only with the herb remoulade. An additional charge of 2 euros was charged for exchanging the sauces. When the food came, we were told that unfortunately the wrong side dish had been prepared by the kitchen. We did not agree with this and asked for a change. It happened as I had already suspected: the fried potatoes were simply scraped off the plate and the herb potatoes were served separately. There can be no talk of “perfection” as described on the website. Well, we then gave the entire dish back with the advice that we would have to prepare everything again. The result was shocking: the beans had clearly been reheated in the microwave because they had shrunk and so had the herb potatoes. Last but not least, we also charged for the ketchup, which our son didn't get with his meal. All in all: a terrible visit to a restaurant that I wouldn't wish on anyone. By the way, there was no apology from the kitchen, the service staff made an honest effort to cover for their colleagues...

At the end of a hike, we ended up here in the cozy beer garden. Since we were looked after so nicely, we went there for dinner in the evening and it was really great. The food was great, the service was friendly and attentive. A really nice evening. Thank you.

Very clean, well and modernly furnished rooms. Free Wi-Fi and water or espresso in the room if you're thirsty.Breakfast is very varied so that everyone is full. The food is highly recommended, reasonable prices and tasty.

The inn was my hiking accommodation. Everything was perfect! The beautiful beer garden, the excellent dinner (asparagus with ham), the great service and the large, modern room. Since I was the only guest, breakfast was served at the table. That was the icing on the cake.
