We stayed at Numa Arc in May, and while the location was undoubtedly a highlight—central and convenient, close to the Jewish Museum, The Barn, and metro stations—the overall experience left us somewhat puzzled. The building itself has an unusual atmosphere. The empty lobby and “mysterious passage” behind the second set of code-protected doors took a moment to navigate, and the corridors felt deserted, with screens partially concealing remnants of what seemed to be the building’s past.Our room was spacious, which was certainly appreciated, as it gave us room to breathe. However, the space felt oddly empty and underutilized, as if lacking purpose or thoughtful design. Additionally, we encountered a persistent issue with the shower door, which leaked, causing the bathroom floor to flood repeatedly.I’m familiar with Numa’s unique approach, having previously stayed at their Novela property, so I was prepared for the fully automated experience. However, at this price point—especially during peak periods—there are alternatives in Berlin that provide a more traditional hotel experience with more polish. Our previous experience at Numa Novela was notably more satisfying than what we encountered at Arc.One particular issue was the window cleaning situation, which, unfortunately, turned into a comedy of errors. We were repeatedly informed of scheduled early-morning cleanings that couldn’t be rescheduled, disrupting our work schedule. Despite this, when we mentioned that the windows remained visibly dirty (with a bird dropping still clearly present), we were simply told that the cleaning hadn’t happened yet. Eventually, after several exchanges, the team agreed to postpone the cleaning entirely until after our departure, thus avoiding further interruptions.Communicating with support was also a challenge. The necessity of navigating through a bot each time made the process feel unnecessarily cumbersome and, frankly, quite frustrating.

Great location near Checkpoint Charlie and Topography of Terror and a memorial of the Berlin Wall. Nice little cafes, bars and lots of shops around. Plus the metro station “Koch Strasse right in front. The digital thing had me worried slightly beforehand but that was totally unjustified. Super quick response to all queries and perfect explanation as to get to parking and hotel room etc.

We arrived in the evening to find our room without any lights. While trying to turn on a lamp, my husband hit his head on the bedside lamp and could have seriously injured himself.Then, the coffee machine started leaking. I contacted you via WhatsApp and found the entire countertop soaked. We only had one dishcloth and the end of a roll of paper towels.The lady came to replace the machine but forgot to give us a replacement part. I spent my entire stay messaging you on WhatsApp...so more water on the countertop, but she NEVER came back to wipe it up!There was no housekeeping during our 4-day stay: is this normal? For a hotel of this price (I won't say standard because it doesn't even reach 2 stars), this is UNACCEPTABLE!Neighbors, knowing there were no staff on site, played loud music with heavy bass: impossible to rest! I reported it, we preferred to go out for a walk, and they started again the next day! I sent another WhatsApp, and the response was that it was not 10:00 pm, so they couldn't intervene.

We stayed at the Arc for two nights at the end of October. We were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Access only with a code worked perfectly at all times: to the building, to the underground car park, to the room, etc. There is no staff in the building, but they can be reached quickly via WhatsApp should any questions arise. You can also get the access code and other information via Whatsapp.The room was well equipped, including the most important kitchen utensils (plates, cutlery, pot, etc...). The decor of the room is very chic and modern. We slept really well in the big bed. The mattress was, unlike in other hotels, finally comfortable and not so hard, but pleasantly soft. Unfortunately there was only one large blanket and not two single blankets. The room was relatively clean, only the floor had something sticky, I suspect from cleaning products that weren't wiped away properly. Unfortunately the exhaust in the bathroom didn't work, at least we didn't understand how to turn it on. But there were large windows through which you could ventilate well and which also opened completely. Unfortunately there was a construction site in the back yard where work was going on from 7:30 a.m., but the employees can't do anything about that. You can sometimes hear noises from the hallway in the room. If you are sensitive, you should bring earplugs. The hotel is ideally located at the Kochstrasse subway station, which means you can reach the most important spots within 10-20 minutes by public transport. There are also a few shops, restaurants, bakeries, etc. within walking distance, so the location is great. The underground parking garage is also easy to find and not too narrow. But you have to book a parking space in advance! Basically we were very satisfied and would stay here again.

The place has a very good location. It is clean and quiet. Simple check in and check out as long as you have internet data. I would suggest a full door on the shower, as it is difficult to keep the bathroom floor dry.

We booked this after looking at properties elsewhere as it had a great location and the price was reasonable. Easy to book on line and great communication. We arrived early and contacted the Numa team via WhatsApp and they replied so quickly allowing us to check in early. Details arrived on App when promised and access to the building was easy. Room was well presented, carpets could do with a bit of a clean but everything else was as expected. We had a room with a small kitchen which comprised of a microwave, sink and fridge. Plates, cups and cutlery enough for the 2 of us. Bed was comfortable and duvet and pillows were lovely. We had a coffee machine which had plenty of pods, we could get more from the well stocked cupboards located in the lower (-1) floor. Laundromat available at a small charge. Big bonus was that we were able to store our luggage on site once checked out until 8pm if required. Lots of things that other hotels don’t offer for free made this a great place to stay.

A bit of mixed feelings, location and room were great, but at the same time a bit less so.For example, there is no extraction system in the bathroom, which means everything fogs up. For example, the room is sensitive to noise from outside. Well, I think we were also unlucky because they were working on the street.But you are so central to everything that is really great

The location is ideal. So easy to get public transport around berlin and there is a lidl so close which is very handy (however beware shops close all day sunday). Getting in was easy and the lockers were very handy. The lack of house cleaning is only the main downside as we were there for a week and it would have been nice. The essentials cupboard is helpful though. Hard to rate service otherwise as we never saw a person who worked there!

Beautiful rooms equipped with every comfort. Easy digital checkin. They also gave us an additional room because in ours the sofa bed had some problems, but it was actually usable. Nice, quiet and central area. 300 mi from Ceck Point Charlie. Instant email communication

All in all very nice. However, the beds are very narrow if you are not a barcode and the mattresses slip very easily. But: Very clean and quiet. Everything can be reached quickly on foot. A full-length mirror is missing in the room.During our stay the hot water went out for a few hours and once a guest's kitchenette was smoking. Fire alarm. But I'm really satisfied... it was a good stay.

Those who like all digital staff probably would be happy about this place. There all 100% is digital. To enter the hotel, you need a Code. To enter in the room, you need a code. In the hotel you see none of the staff, no reception, no breakfast in the restaurant. Breakfast is put in paper bag left next to your door. Quite scary I must say though I believe many would enjoy it.

Avoid this place at all costs and book something with the same price with human beings present at the location. Worst customer service ever!!! It took almost an hour and a half to open the locker in the luggage room. I was in contact with customer service via WhatsApp, horrible support. After many attempts, I somehow managed to contact customer service over the phone. Numa hotel management, you are at a very early stages of automatation and AI use, fix the basics first, have someone in the building or train your customer service and improve remote support!!! Location and rooms are nice though, but if something goes wrong, then you are on your own.

Basically a nice stylish hotel in a very good location.BUTHalf of the room is missing or brokenThere is no service.In addition, the rooms are not clean either.The AI actually asked me if it was already like this when I arrived.You can definitely get better for that price.

It must be clear to you that you will not find any staff there. Rooms will not be cleaned upon request if you are a guest for a week. So it's better not to cook/eat in the room, even though it's set up for exactly that - otherwise the rubbish will pile up. If you need something, you can organize it yourself, there's a room you can find for that. Things were very unfortunate with the safe in the room: first it wouldn't close, then it wouldn't open. And of course there is no one there who can help you quickly. Communication via WhatsApp is ok, but certainly not ideal for everyone. To be honest, it was a unique experience for me.

The numa | Arc is a few minutes' walk from Checkpoint Charlie and is easily accessible with the BVG.The room was well equipped and modern and was clean and tidy upon arrival. Worth mentioning is the massive door to the bathroom, which is not partially transparent like in other hotels. The doors to the hotel and rooms open using a PIN code, so fortunately there are no key cards or keys.Despite the hotel's fairly central location, it was pleasantly quiet there, so you could have slept with the windows open.

Great place. Very clean, cozy and good looking. In the bathroom you'll find organic products, including a body moisturizer! Bed was super comfy. I also liked that room cleaning only comes at the end of the stay, avoiding wastes and making the stay cheaper. Reception is also automatised, without staff, which I guess is the reason for the very convenient price. Will be back.
