Highly recommended for swimming in the natural lake.

Nice little campsite with a super nice groundskeeper. Pictures were taken on the Pentecost weekend... endless space and ideal for dogs 👌😉👌

Disappointing experience - review for those interested in leasingWhen I purchased a small bungalow on the Rethem ferry in 2021, I was full of anticipation for a chapter with lots of nature and relaxation. The financial and emotional investment in the property on the Rethem ferry was correspondingly large.The website and the initial contact with the groundskeeper seemed appealing and promised a variety of leisure options that would soon be available. However, the reality was different. Even after 2 years, the advertised activities and facilities were not available or were in a dilapidated condition.I found the cooperation with the groundskeeper to be particularly critical. The quality of contact and access to sometimes elementary services depends largely on whether you are in the good graces of the groundskeeper, which I found to be unnecessarily personal and unprofessional - and I am writing this from the perspective of someone who is a good person Contact with the groundskeeper benefited.However, there are numerous situations in which, despite important concerns, you have to wait until private conversations are finished (usually around 30 minutes, sometimes longer). You also have to endure various communication barbs if the groundskeeper has a bad day or wants to emphasize his supposed position of power.Overall, I was missing a solid sense of service and the quality that goes with it. This is critical when you consider that for most tenants, buying a house on the Rethem ferry involves a financial investment of a 5-figure amount or more.The administration also performed poorly in terms of performance. I ended up waiting 8 weeks for my tenant loan (a type of deposit) of almost €1,500 to be repaid and when I asked, there wasn't even a hint of an apology for the delays or even an explanation for the omissions.Overall, the almost two-year chapter “Rethemer Fähre” left a bitter aftertaste despite the ultimately very good house sales. Another annoying ending is the donation of 10% of the purchase price, which you have to pay in cash to the groundskeeper without any conclusive explanation. This further contributes to the shady business atmosphere of the Rethem ferry.

The hotel is not working, but this boy plays handi in the parking lot after school and scares the drivers.
