Were here for a study trip during training. The hotel is more youth hostel than hotel, the rooms are minimalist but clean. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection. The service was adequate, but rude when there were problems. As agreed, we left the keys at reception every day before we left the hotel. Unfortunately you don't have to show ID to pick up keys, which seemed suspicious to us from the start. So one day we hand over the key, only to hear in the afternoon that the key isn't there, quote "Then you probably didn't hand it in.". We were then able to get into our room with the master key, but had to stay in the room that evening because otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get back in. In order to solve the problem, we should wait until the next day because only then would employees be on shift who could evaluate the security footage, etc.So the next morning I asked and was offered the lock to be changed. After waiting 15 minutes it happened and I got a new key. After leaving the next day, I received an email informing me that the key was simply left incorrectly and that all subsequent shifts couldn't find it.TL;DR Security poor

So, the hotel itself was quite okay. Nice staff, nice interior, and the location was central. The breakfast was very good and the concept was interesting if the elevator would work permanently. In the middle of a week you could only use the elevator on 3 days, which is very inconvenient for a hotel that relies on an elevator. Also, after EVERY dubious cleaning, the room smelled like cream cheese. You couldn't get rid of this smell so quickly, and until it got out, it was time for the next cleaning. Now to the rooms... the size itself was quite acceptable and I was actually quite satisfied. However, old pretzels from probably previous guests were found under my bed. I kindly ask you to carry out cleaning more thoroughly!Overall, I would give a moderate (if somewhat flawed) recommendation.LGAbus Olek

I wanted to stay in a family friendly affordable hotel and found this. It meet the criteria in many ways, but we started out by having to step over a drunk guy who passed out in the hallway! …

Perfectly sufficient for short overnight stays. The interior design of the hotel conveys an industrial/factory style with 70s and GDR charm. The breakfast buffet is sufficient and was very good.

I was really looking forward to this trip and the accommodation also made a big difference. It's difficult to check into a hotel in a relaxed manner when the entrance is seemingly insurmountable. When Google Maps leads you to this hotel, the first thing you see is a large brick house with many entrances. A well-placed sign indicates the accommodation. For those who are here for the first time, there is only one obvious option: taking an elevator. I waited a full ten minutes and then entered a filthy elevator that probably hadn't been updated for years. The door didn't close either. By the way, the elevator is from 1996. The first thing we were told at reception in a very unfriendly manner was that it was a very "old" elevator and that there had often been problems. The hotel advises me against using it. I should rather take a staircase that is closed from below and can hardly be seen. Check-in went without incident, only the arrangement with the keys was spooky. When you leave the house, you hand the key at the reception so anyone can easily get your key. The hotel is not far from the main street and is very quiet.

The hotel is more of a youth hostel. The rooms old and shabby. The price-performance ratio is not even remotely appropriate. I paid 150 euros a night and had to clear the breakfast dishes myself. Never this accommodation again!

Rooms neat, clean. Equipped with basic things. The staff changed the towels every day. Friendly service at the reception. The reception is open 24 hours a day, so you can always ask for help. Breakfast included in the price. Very good. Everyone will probably find something for themselves. A big plus is that water is available at all times at the reception. The only minus is the lack of air conditioning in the attic room, when the temperature outside the window in the shade reaches 34 degrees Celsius. It is true that the hotel provides a fan, but unfortunately it is not as effective as air conditioning. Great location! Most sights can be reached on foot. 20 min walk to Alexanderplatz. There are several supermarkets, many restaurants, pubs and cafes in the vicinity.
