It's going ok…Well, actually great at first glance,but, but, but…• I got the newly renovated room 7, chic, good queen-size bed, shower, toilet, everything new (01/2023) and clean, bare plastic floorboards (better to keep clean), but…The room is above the kitchen, you can hear everything from below; and the suction goes up the outside wall and transmits a very unpleasant vibration into the room that is initially inaudible but increasingly noticeable.Luckily the kitchen closes at 10 p.m.Unfortunately no suitcase bench, no shelf.• Quite a cozy restaurant, but lots of tables for two. I ordered a vegan bowl, it was a large portion, delicious to look at, but…It didn't say anywhere that the dish was served COLD! So I had it packed up and...• Alternatively, I ordered pasta with pecorino sauce and broccoli. The taste was absolutely delicious, but...The pasta was - not “al dente”, as is usual in Italians, but - cooked just long enough that it was no longer stiff. So actually hard. Instead, the broccoli was overcooked and essentially just stems and maybe a fallen apart floret.• Oh yes, and then the (presumably) junior boss: I asked to see a second room, but…When I later asked for the WiFi code, I had to listen to the sharp comment that I had a lot of special requests.You could take that personally, but I didn't. Because he was grinning. In our house we call someone like that “a cheeky mouth”. According to the motto: “He doesn’t do anything, he just wants to play!”At first I thought about letting the hard noodles go back, but then decided against it because I was too tired to play any more games that evening...I think that the cuisine is actually quite good, the restaurant is also busy (even on a Tuesday), maybe I was just unlucky, but…Maybe not.Oh yes, breakfast is only available from 9:30 a.m.! The offer was that if you wanted something before, you could make it yourself.As a simple overnight stay without any major demands for €70 without breakfast, it's probably just okay.

You can eat very well there

We had our Christmas party at the Hotel Kückenmühle. The service and food were good. One star deducted for the opening hours (11 p.m. for a Christmas party that didn't start until 6 p.m. is very short, there were easily 30 people who were still drinking) and the accessibility. Unfortunately it's a 20-30 minute walk with public transport and a very dark, unlit forest path. Otherwise very well maintained and nicely furnished.

That was our last visit to the Kückenmühle. Except for the nice waitress it was unreasonable:Reserved our round “regulars’ table” for 6 people 2 days ago. Today table for 5 people in the darkest - e.g. Sometimes flooded with bad smells from the kitchen - preserved. Battery lamp 1 goes out, lamp 2 only 3 minutes later, the extremely rude waiter today with his tangled hair angrily and unfriendly brings lamp 3 into the darkroom, which only burns for about 5 minutes.The nice waitress finally brings a working lamp.But the food comes - 3 pizzas and one fish from the menu without any special requests!! - after more than 40 minutes.Oh yes, the other lamb burger we ordered was already out at 12:40 p.m. because only the lamb was in stock.The poor hospitality with well-priced prices and the inability to provide light to the darkest place in the restaurant, instead being stupidly told that a (tiny funzel) table lamp was enough for 6 people was really too much.Gaz not to mention that the promised table was not reserved.The Kückenmühle has lost six loyal - previously satisfied - guests.ByeJochen Stiehl and followers

I've never been to the hotel but I have been to the restaurant. Service is quick and pleasant and very polite. The food is very tasty, everything is elegant and beautiful, like the atmosphere, that's noticeable in the price, but I think it's OK too Appropriate, I like it there, you can also sit outside and enjoy the sun.
