Friendly, clean, we were lucky to be able to book the last room at short notice...

On behalf of a friend who unfortunately doesn't have a Google account and was very disappointed today:The supposed boss a total catastrophe. Initiated a discussion with us at the breakfast table that could have been clarified upon departure. We booked a room for €238, 2 nights, without breakfast, non-cancellable. The opportunity to surprise our niece arose spontaneously because we unexpectedly received a ticket for a weekend event. Call the hotel and ask about the possibility of booking another room or an extra bed. Everything was fully booked, I was told. Since this small “hotel/pension” is located in the countryside at a campsite, my husband agreed to clear the field for our niece and sleeps the 2 nights in our converted Amarok. Showers and toilets are located in our exhibitor area at the trade fair. Since we are at this trade fair from early until late in the evening, no problem for him. Since no breakfast was included, we booked it for 2 x 3 people for an additional €15 each and paid for it in advance on site. Until the second day of breakfast, everything is okay. Then this unprofessional person came to our table and asked if my husband had slept in his hotel parking lot and demanded €44 for it without electricity, without water, without any use of sanitary facilities, green areas or similar. The parking lot, which is actually for hotel guests was free and is a gravel parking lot with a construction site. In the end this really poor person screamed across his reception area and slammed the door. This is really so pathetic! If my husband had stood in front of the place with our car, no problem, but it was his property.

I recently spent a night at the Hotel Birkensee. The rooms are clean and functional. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and away from the city, and you can get to the trade fair/arena within a few minutes.Unfortunately, I find feather pillows and dark bed linen a no-go in a hotel. The guests at the campsite were talking loudly well into the night. Breakfast still leaves room for improvement.Fine for one night.

Small but nice.Super furnished room, super clean, parking spaces right in front of the door. Enough sockets for laptops, cell phones etc…Would come back at any time.
