Camping is great. Gastronomy is very good, staff is very friendly.The showers are a disaster.You should turn the tap on a little more so that people can get warm water and a good jet of waterMan pays enough.

A small, very clean and idyllically located campsite by the lake. Totally nice and very helpful staff - just great! It has probably been renovated a lot and everything is in very good condition.It's nice to sit in the beer garden in the evening with a view of the lake with a delicious currywurst and a drink. In the afternoon there is homemade cake, which tasted great. The location was very convenient for us, so to speak in Hanover but also close to Hildesheim and almost directly on the motorways - but it wasn't too loud for us and overall a very quiet place.Only turning from the B443 onto the small road to the campsite is a bit adventurous, as there is no turning lane when turning left and the other cars don't necessarily stick to the 70 km/h speed - you have to be careful.Otherwise we were very happy with everything!Inna

We were there for 2 nights, everything was clean and quiet. Sanitary facilities are all OK.Went out to eat a few times.And were very satisfied.Friendly owners.Thank you Jürgen and Martina Jurkat.

Clean place, very clean sanitary facilities included in the price, decent plot size. Very conveniently located. This means you can constantly hear the highway. The price is too high for that.

Beautiful location. Perfect camp. Facilities clean and new. Bar and food on site. Unfortunately. No public transport to Hannover

An idyllic campsite despite being close to the motorway. Right on the lake, very familiar atmosphere, super friendly operators, very well-kept and spacious pitches, nice restaurant for sitting inside and outside, very tasty fries. Of course it's not all that cheap, but it's really great. We would love to come here again when we are passing through.

This is the third time I've given this place a chance in three years.Yesterday: Went out of town for a night with my car and girlfriend. No tent, no motorhome. We wanted to sleep in the station wagon.Arrival: Unfriendly “Hello, have you made a reservation?” When we said no, we initially shook our heads. The “actually quite nice” employee at reception actually has no idea. Original sound when allocating space: “I’m not interested in camping, so I can’t always remember it all.” (Answer to question about pitches with direct lake access)The boss (you almost only read comments like this) is definitely a real Gargamel. While his employee (who seemed completely overwhelmed with the booking system) checked us in, he kept chattering in from next door, even though he was busy with five other things. We should enter our data ourselves. With the words “you could do that faster than me”, we were handed an iPad.I - because I was really annoyed - forgot to enter my girlfriend the first time, so I had to do it a second time. This was then commented on (the name was now in the system twice) with “great, then that’s twice as good.”We stood there for almost 20 minutes.Last question: How long can we order food for?“There’s food until 7 p.m., but only in cash, you know that, right?”(Eating and drinking only in cash? The reader was there when I paid the €40 for one night. #whopayscheernetaxes)The place itself is really ok, location on the motorway, yes my God, you know that beforehand and you shouldn't complain. But the toilets are really amazing. Black mold on the joints of the sinks, broken toilet seats, broken tiles, some without silicone joints on the floor. Disgusting! I wouldn't let my child go pee there alone. More than the outdated 80s standard, but beautifully clad in wood from the outside. Even a blind person would find the house because you could smell the urine 50 meters into the wind.Take a shower together in the evening, like at all other campsites? No man, disgusting. Saw a really dirty toilet at 9:30 p.m. Today at 10:30 the toilet still hadn't been cleaned.When checking out, a quick note: Super dirty toilet since last night.Employee's answer: The cleaner doesn't come until half past ten! 😅Me: well, that's pretty late.MA: Well, you won't find any people here, nobody comes here in the forest.Digga, if you run a mediocre campsite, charge people 40 euros for a night and probably save yourself the beer tax, then at least make sure you have clean toilets. Otherwise everyone will quickly notice that you are a greedy vulture and that you don't really care about your guests. Cleaning toilets once a day is simply not enough.Long story short: your concept is rubbish, your lake is really disgusting, the atmosphere on the pitch is only suitable for the brain dead.Just read the 1/5 star reviews; then you will know everything you need to know.

We wanted to go camping for the first time and decided on Birkensee. It is very clean and there is everything you need. There is a playground but it is quite old. Since we are not mobile and had a bad time, I was bored at times. There is the lake and restaurants don't open until the afternoon. But great for transit.

We were there today with 7 adults and 9 children, we were all really looking forward to the swimming fun and the snack on this hot day. Unfortunately we stood in front of the locked gates. The reception was unfortunately closed during regular opening hours, as was the restaurant. We waited there for about an hour during opening hours. Unfortunately, no one could be reached by phone.According to a sign at the entrance, bathers are not allowed to enter.I spent half my childhood here and find it sad to have traveled with my family for nothing.The two campers I met there didn't seem to be happy with the overall situation either.
