The sanitary facilities are outside, which is of course a bit uncomfortable when it's cold. But everything is very clean and quite comfortable. The hut is cozy and quite small. The dishes are generously portioned. The prices are pretty steep.

Nice hut to stay overnight too. I didn't see any option to sit inside. The main path to the hut is well maintained and easy to reach at around 4km. All other paths are considered dangerous due to inadequate care. The hut cannot do anything about this, but it could influence those responsible.

New tenant in 2024. We would like to pay a visit there. Afterwork tour with work colleagues. 100 km journey. Great mountain tour. Brunnenkopf great summit. However, nothing to eat after 5 p.m. Not even bread. Drinks only. That's an announcement after a long day at work for the entire group. I always thought DAV refuges had a different claim. Well, yes. But the beer was delicious 😉

Really nice hut with warm hospitality. We stayed there for one night during our hike.Dinner was excellent and breakfast was solid. The sanitary facilities are outside, which I found worked quite well. It's a mountain hut, so you can't expect too much luxury. In the sleeping camp you lie very close to each other. In our case the hut wasn't fully occupied, so it worked. The location and view are magnificent.
