Great apartment, great beach, would love to come back again...

We booked an apartment (Sandorn) over 2 floors on the 4th and 5th floors. The spacious and modernly furnished apartment was very nice. We had 2 beautiful bedrooms, each with a modern bathroom. One room had a balcony (covered) with 2 loungers on it, facing the sea. There was another balcony above, this one was also covered, and there was a beach chair on it, as well as a table and chairs. Since this construction phase (Wittow) in Prora was slightly pulled out to the rear, you had a special view over a large area of ​​Prora. The apartment also had a guest bathroom, built-in cupboards, an open, modern, very well-equipped kitchen and an open dining room. Living area. Everything modern, clean and well equipped. The apartment had a parking space in front of the house and we thought it was the most beautiful part of Prora. The Prora facility is very impressive. Except for one construction phase, everything has been modernized, restored and integrated with ice cream parlors, restaurants, etc. The day before arrival we received an email saying that our apartment was available from 10 a.m. in the morning instead of in the afternoon, which we were very happy about. The contact beforehand and on site was very friendly and professional. The renovated houses in Prora were very modern and clean and equipped with elevators. A restaurant at the hotel in Prora offered buffets in the evenings and mornings upon reservation. In the evenings there were daily changing buffet menus for €22 per person. The ambience was great and the food was very, very tasty.The only negative thing is the access to Prora. A bumpy gravel road, very poorly lit and when you drove along the gravel road and found your way there was a barrier at the end. When we arrived, we contacted the rental agency on Prora via cell phone and they kindly let us open the barrier. After checking in at the agency, we received a key for the barrier; the barrier opens automatically when we leave.The barrier makes sense because the parking spaces available are assigned to the respective apartment and visitors to Prora should park outside. There is a lot to see on Prora, a contemporary history museum, very worth seeing. A great section of beach that can be reached by walking through the Prora houses and a path through the small forest section behind the Prora complex. The section that has not yet been renovated is very interesting . There is Edeka nearby and many interesting opportunities to discover something. You can reach everything centrally from Prora by car, for example the forest treetop path is highly recommended. Binz, Sassnitz, Gören, Cape Arkona, a national park, the Königstuhl, the Pirate Gorge, etc. Parking can sometimes be very expensive. There is sometimes a small train to the sights, but you still have to say that you can see a lot on Rügen , you can discover beautiful corners, but you can also get rid of a lot of money (parking, admission, etc.)

We had a very nice week and the apartment was very well equipped, although the travel cot was missing a mattress. Otherwise I can only recommend the property.
