The two of us stayed at this natural campsite in August with a tent. This is located right next to a lake that you can also use for swimming. If you had to describe the place in one word, it would be “cozy” and that is definitely meant in a positive way. The location is extremely good - from here you can quickly reach starting points for hiking in the Palatinate Forest, but also some restaurants and cafés in the area. Highly recommended.

Wonderfully individual campsite,Unfortunately we were only here for one night and it was raining but it was just great. Of course not everything is perfect here but we liked it. We had the most beautiful spot with a view of the lake and really enjoyed the friendly welcome and the good atmosphere. The operator is super nice and uncomplicatedly helpful. The small forest lake was wonderfully refreshing. We can't wait to come back.

Brilliant little quirky campsite, no frills but just what we needed after a long day's drive. Toilet and shower block tho dated were clean and provided a lovely hot shower. And a special shout out to site worker Tim who sorted out our electric cable problem on arrival and could not have been more helpful

Unfortunately we cannot recommend it. Get space at the garbage can. Free-roaming dogs on the lawn in the bathing bay and everywhere else. Unfortunately the water isn't that great either. It's a shame, we expected more after the reports here.

First of all the owner is super friendly and nice. Cozy camping spot but its little close to each other. Other than that 30sec walking to the lake, clean bath room and everythings super nice. I enjoyed time there with my friends and want to revisit. Again the owner's so nice I felt comfortable staying there

A very nice campsite, beautiful location by the lake. A place with charm and character, a place like kommune 1 or Patchwork art, which is by no means negative, you can look in vain for a garden gnome idyll, which is very beautiful and interesting for my taste. The little quirks and blemishes just make it comfortable. What I miss would be some information on the website, e.g. the house rules, as it is clear there that departure is at 12 p.m. Since this is not enough time to dry and air a tent, we unfortunately had to leave a day earlier and pay for the next day. To find out whether you were allowed to grill, you had to ask the operators. It would be a good idea to have a sign with "barbecuing allowed" or "barbecuing not allowed" that you could easily adjust on a daily basis, then the operators would have less stress and could provide the information on a daily basis How to change an open or closed sign. Otherwise we would like to come back again and again. Very, very comfortable and well managed and maintained. Toilets always clean as well as showers

Campingplatz am Gelterswoog was a little gem of a campsite! The campsite is peaceful with everything you need. The owners are so friendly and will do anything to make your stay pleasant. They also have the cutest dog!! Private access to the lake was perfect for a swim and paddleboard. We can't wait to come back!!!

Just home from a fantastic weekend away at this camp site. Little gem of site with friendly owners who will do anything to help and make your stay pleasurable. The private access to that lake was perfect especially for us to take our paddle boards on. Clean toilets, showers and washing up room. We wish we had found this site sooner! We will definitely be back!!

Small campsite in the forest, directly on the Gelterswoog, with its own small swimming area for camping guests. The most dog-friendly parking space I have come across (so far)! Sanitary facilities are clean and the old automatic shower is really iconic. The plots are mainly in the shade, which is very pleasant on hot summer days.It is absolutely quiet at night.You can hike directly from the campsite in the nature reserve or to the castle in Hohenecken.There is also a beach and a mini golf course a short distance away.We'll be back! It's already booked!

Wonderful! The best campsite I have visited so far. The prices are totally adjusted. The owner is super nice and helps. The facilities are clean and great and it is in a very safe location and has a small beach on the lake.

Very nicely located. Super nice staff. Everyone helpful. Lots of little things that raise the place above average, I think, because this was our first camping trip with the caravan.Good transport connections to the city by bus.However, for the timetable you have to have your master's degree during the major construction site that was going on at the time we were there. Absolute chaos. Even the bus drivers don't get through. But the people of Kaiserslautern are all very helpful across the board.We'd love to come back.
