We spent 9 days with a youth group in the Opelhaus on Feldberg. We felt comfortable at all times and were warmly welcomed by the caretaker. He was always available to us and very helpful! The rooms are simply and comfortably furnished, the beds are completely comfortable enough. The new kitchen and the associated lounge lacked nothing and we were able to easily cater for ourselves with our 23 people. The hut was very easy for us to reach by public transport and all in all we had a great time.

Outstanding hut supervisor, super friendly and accommodating. The hut is rustic and of course not luxurious, but it is completely sufficient. Beautiful extension with kitchen and new shower area. Gladly again see you soon

As a family with one child, we stayed at the Opelhaus for one night and were thoroughly impressed. Great house with a super friendly caretaker. We felt very comfortable. A worthwhile goal!

We kept a large part of the deposit because beer was spilled and because we only left the rooms swept clean (was instructed by the host). Rooms are small and dark. According to responses to reviews, there are no *hosts*, but as in other reviews, an unfriendly woman and an unfriendly man wandered through the house and suddenly stood in the main room. Nice location but had so many headaches afterwards. I wouldn't go there again...

I can only agree with the reviews from Dorint Berisha and Julian Hug. The landlord and his companion or whoever that is are impossible. We were also treated very unkindly. The furnishings in the rooms are around 50 years old. The mattresses are worn out and it smells moldy. The nicest thing was the new extension with a well-equipped kitchen. As well as the shower area with sauna.

Very impolite! The owner says one saying after another. The owners are also very stingy, for example it broke the owner's heart to give away a little tape. Rooms also really bad. In some rooms you think you're in prison. Our bed covers were rock hard and dusty. Even though my bedmate who slept above me was underweight, I could feel and hear his every move. In short, the beds will collapse very soon. However, that is also understandable, because messages left like "Björn was here in 2007" make it clear that the beds are a bit older. Not recommended!

Very unfriendly, unsympathetic hosts. Often suddenly appeared in the room and seemed pretty grumpy the whole time. They were also quite sensitive to noise even though their floor and stairs were incredibly loud. Bed covers were too big, rock hard and you had the feeling you would get lice from them. When a colleague of mine couldn't get his ski boots off, the hostess stared at him for 20 minutes instead of helping him.
