I have known the house for 50 years. I more or less grew up here earlier, but under a different tenant. Back then it was called “House Lugginsland”.When I traveled there again some time ago, I was very, very disappointed.The host whispered to me on the first morning because I sat down in the breakfast room “without being asked”; I didn’t really feel well, which even led to me leaving a day earlier. The room was ok, according to the cheap price. The breakfast was good, the hospitality was anything but pleasant.

This is exactly how you imagine a Black Forest house. Lots of wood, nicely furnished, everything lovingly decorated and very clean. The breakfast buffet is just right to fortify yourself for hikes, the hosts are friendly and always happy to help with tips. Heavenly quiet location at the end of a cul-de-sac, right next to the forest. I really enjoyed my vacation there.

Nice accommodation with a great location for hiking. However, the hosts were pretty stuffy, which became particularly clear at breakfast. When you arrived you had to write down everything you wanted to eat in the morning on a list. The roll that wasn't made was no longer available the next day. Unfortunately there was no Black Forest ham either. Spontaneous reordering of the food was hardly possible. Apart from the breakfast, it's a nice place to stay.

Very friendly hosts, super clean and simply cozy! The rooms tastefully decorated and nice furniture.We felt very comfortable.And definitely a super delicious and plentiful breakfast 😊👍🏻The location is perfect for hiking straight away or just into town in max. 10 minutes.We'd love to come back.

Cozy accommodation, nice operatorsUnfortunately the bathrooms are very small. There are rooms (not all) with large balconies and relaxing views. Lots of choice at breakfast.

The location of the property is perfect, close to the center but still at the end of a dead end, it takes less than 10 minutes to walk to the train station/center.Numerous hikes are possible from the guesthouse, for example:Titisee/Neustadt (train station) 6kmFeldberg/Bährental (highest train station in Germany) 7kmFeldbergsee 11kmFeldberg 16kmThe surrounding area is ideal for hiking, there are numerous train stations in the Nähren area so you can also hike there and, if necessary, take the train back to Hinterzarten.You can plan very nice day trips and you don't have to drive somewhere in your car, you have the forest right in front of your door,Which is optimal for a hiker.The guesthouse is furnished with great attention to detail, and the Christmas decorations disappeared just in time for the sixth of January. And new decorations that were also chosen with a lot of detail.Our room was very nicely decorated, very rustic, which we really liked.The bathroom was vacuumed and mopped every day.The breakfast buffet is manageable but of high quality,The sausage products are produced by the local butcher, which you can taste and see.The rolls were always fresh and tasted very good, the eggs that you can get on request are only freshly prepared when you order them.Ms. Boxberg tries very hard, you really notice that you are welcome as a guest.If you have any questions, she is happy to help and will also find out travel times for the regional train.With the spa ticket you can take the train for free, and you can go all the way to Basel in Switzerland, which was a great tip from Ms. Boxberg.We stayed in the above-mentioned guesthouse from Friday to Wednesday inclusive and if I could I would give it more than just five stars.Thank you for the great stay in your beautiful guesthouse, I wish you and your family good health and continued success!Best regardsS. I went hiking there with my son. We stayed in the Schwarzwaldhüsle for two nights. TOP. Rustic and cozy atmosphere. It was a great father/son getaway. After a delicious breakfast we went out into nature. Only to recommend.

Very nice and cozy wooden house in a quiet location, with subtle furnishings. The double room was spacious and had a balcony with a view of the greenery. Perfect as a starting point for hikes, beautiful forest path directly behind the house.
