We have enjoyed eating at the Golden Ochsen for years.The food is of very high quality. Everything tastes very tasty and fresh. The homemade spaetzle is particularly worth mentioning. We are always very satisfied with the food and the service is also very nice and courteous.

The cream of mushroom soup is highly recommended. Unfortunately, the restaurant is currently understaffed, so you sometimes have to wait a long time for the waitresses.

Where should I start... the room is clean but very dated.The restaurant doesn't work at all. I'm very sorry, but if you can't do it anymore, then you have to say goodbye to it. I don't like being persuaded to eat, drinks menu or prices=> none. The food was disproportionate to the price.

Just not again!!We've never experienced anything like this before.There are four dishes on the menu. Drinks are not declared.There are no prices for drinks. Then we wanted to order and she talked to us until at least three of us took the same thing. Later we knew why. After the field salad that was standing in the sand, she walked past the table and said, .. now we're cooking... it took a whole 1.5 hours, then I went to the kitchen and said if she doesn't bring the food now , then we go.Then she actually served. The steak was now cooked through and mushy on the plate, you could count the spaetzle and a small container of sauce for three. The dish cost 26.50 plus salad. Two meals, two salads and four drinks cost €88.00My girlfriend took the salmon on sauerkraut... a heap with 4 thin slices of cooked salmon... already completely white and completely dried out and 4 mini Maultaschen for also way too much money.And the highlight was that she put cutlery that she didn't think was needed back in the cupboard instead of putting it in the dishwasher. My friend also used it to eat a salad. Simply incredible!!!The tablecloth had probably been on the table for 4 weeks. We were totally angry and also cold because it was way too cold in the innSo: never againWay too expensive for NOTHING

We visited the restaurant a few years ago and were very satisfied. The ambience was very nice, the food and the price/performance ratio were ok.Now we wanted to eat a snack there at 8 p.m. The menu was strangely put together, very confusing with different but expensive menus. Drinks were not shown. The only small thing we found was matjes with fried potatoes for €17.50. The meal consisted of 3 salty fillets with a cream sauce that was probably seasoned with the pickle stock.Some of the cucumber slices still had their stems attached. There was only a small portion of fried potatoes (they were all potatoes), but 2 half slices of really dry bread. With a glass of white wine and a beer we left €50 there.Unfortunately, neither the price/performance ratio nor the service was right. The restaurant is no longer recommended.

Empty restaurant on Friday evening. While passing through after a short errand in Keltern, I kindly asked a stranger to use the toilet. The boss rejected this, which is initially fine, although not very hospitable. The toilet is only for guests that people are so impudent that they don't even drink an espresso. She could have offered it to me after going to the toilet. Since the restaurant was completely empty, it seemed as if the boss was deterring not only toilet users but also guests with her charm.Not representative, but it shouldn't go unmentioned - hence 2 stars instead of 0

Great atmosphere, traditional, very nice design with several areas with different ambience, colors and decoration. Lots of wood, stone and glass, plus furniture, wall decorations, here a flower vase, there a stained glass window, here photos from generations, over there the creaking wooden door with brass fittings. Culinary wine and fresh cakes here and there, wonderfully designed tables. You feel like you are in another time and you should take some time with you, it will be fresh. Everything always worked out perfectly for me alone, but groups should definitely register in advance, after all it is not a fast food chain. The apple spritzer, Maultaschen and salad were a delight today and I was able to switch off wonderfully from work.

We chose Goldener Ochsen because it is located a bit away from the autobahn: wonderfully quiet and peaceful. We were received very hospitably and had a delicious meal (schnitzel and salad). Room is good, nice and spacious. Good bed and lovely hot shower.Are you traveling or staying in this region: We had a good experience here.

They will let you pay only cash and not with credit card.||They want only that you pay in the evening and not in the morning when you checking-out, the reason are you dont get a breakfast because in the morning no body are there tho …

Thank you for the delicious food, we chose the vegetarian menu, great value for money, we were welcomed very nicely, the wine recommendation was great, we liked the rustic restaurant, it was the first time and certainly not the last time
