Unfortunately the bar was closed in the evening and there was no alternative option. The drinks machine could only be paid for with cash. Too badBuffet very generous. Unfortunately, rolls are only available for baking. Staff were quick to clear things away or refill things and were very friendly.Rooms bright and clean.

Handy for the HBF station. Clean rooms, sound proofed very well. Only bad thing was the pillows are extremely soft for me.Check in was quick and staff very helpful.It's your typical 3 star German hotel. Nothing special, does the job.I didn't have breakfast.

Outrageous pricing!!!Nice, clean rooms, nice staff, close to the train station, BUT:- Rooms facing the street are loud despite the glazing- Air conditioning only works moderately- opaque, outrageous pricing 😡We had an appointment here with friends for the weekend: we paid €100 more than them. impertinence.

As a business traveler, I stay in various hotels nationwide on a weekly and regular basis.The IntercityHotel Mainz is basically okay. However, there were some stains on the textiles/furniture/carpet in the room, the bathroom was clean. The price was €186/night plus breakfast and parking.Slightly stressed manager in the office next to reception, the stress was unfortunately passed on to the guests verbally and unnecessarily. The receptionist at the reception desk, however, was absolutely friendly.

Very comfortable rooms, quiet and close to central train station. However, on a Wednesday night, the (tiny) bar did not open until 8 pm and the restaurant was closed ! What is the excuse here ? This is a very large hotel with business conference facilities - not good enough, especially as it is not in an area for restaurants etc.

The room furnishings are functional, somewhat outdated in design and relatively dark due to the brown interior. Unfortunately, my room was also facing the main street. On the sixth floor, every tram makes a sound when the window is closed, and it's not possible to open the window because of the noise. Nevertheless, the rooms are clean, the bathroom seems to be quite new. The elevators (3) are busy and there are waiting times at some times. They can only be used with the room card, but you can still access any floor afterwards. The lobby and dining room are open, bright, spacious and spacious. The entrance is inviting and clear. Nevertheless, it is a classic train station hotel right next to the train station, there are one or two pubs within walking distance, and it is easier to stroll a little further. As a woman, it's not an area to explore on foot alone - but that doesn't seem to be the requirement either. The hotel's own parking deck has three parking spaces with charging facilities, but in total there are perhaps only 20-25 parking spaces; 20 euros are charged for every 24 hours (even for evening arrivals and early departures). There is a multi-storey car park right next to the hotel, but the entrance is only accessible several streets away (Tip: There is an entrance next to the hotel's underground car park, but this is only intended for Sixt and "Wallet Parking". This is not noticeable, The entrance barrier simply does not open with the message "Parking garage occupied").Conclusion: Central point of contact for train travelers, certainly also suitable for group trips by bus. Central and clean, perhaps not recommended as a starting point for walkers.
