3:55 p.m. - the lady at the checkout doesn't want to let us into the “Forest Science Center” because she “gets off work early today and still has to clean up.” Opening hours until 5 p.m., last entry 4 p.m. Long faces on the children. Really pathetic.

Basically a very nice hotel, the staff is very friendly, breakfast is very extensive and good. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on Saturday evening and Sunday. The restaurant menu offers very few choices, but the quality of the food was very good. Relatively good connections to public transport.

My family and I were here last weekend in this beautiful but extraordinary hotel, extraordinary because almost everything there was built and decorated out of wood. Each room has the name of a tree and the room itself was clean, large and spacious but a bit too dark in terms of lighting, the bathroom was also great. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food as we had a tight schedule and therefore ate in the city. The staff at the reception were also very friendly and explained everything to us in detail, and it was also good that we were able to buy a ticket for public transport on the spot and so didn't have to run around. The connection to the S-Bahn was very easy to reach in just a few minutes. For us, this address remains a fond memory for our next trip to Hamburg. In Hamburg they say goodbye.

Impossible conditions there in the restaurant (totally frustrated, unfriendly employees)It's a shame that I even have to give 1 star.Word of such unfriendliness gets around quickly and you should choose your staff more carefully.

Specially searched for a hotel with air conditioning in Hamburg. However, it was not working. Fortunately it wasn't too hot, so it was bearable. Located close to Wilhelmsburg station and shopping center. Paid parking garage next to the hotel.

Very nice hotel. Clean, delicious food and breakfast and friendly staff. 100% barrier-free (wheelchair, I can't reliably assess other accessibility options, but I didn't notice any barriers).

The hotel makes a great impression, both in terms of appearance and concept. You also have good connections. The design of the rooms invites you to feel good. The staff is also very friendly, especially the new employee at the reception ensures good service😊

We were guests at the Wälderhaus twice for several nights (summer 22 and December 23). We were thrilled with the rooms both times, but the hotel and restaurant staff ruined our stay each time: too many employees here simply lack good customer service and hospitality. We also think that €17 for breakfast is overpriced.

The room was great.I like the location of the hotel.The breakfast buffet was unfortunately bland and cheap, and it doesn't do justice to the price of €17 in any way.With one obliging exception, we have the staff on the evening of December 11th. Otherwise, unfortunately, the experience was snippy and inhospitable.Hopefully other guests will have better luck here.

Unfortunately, there was no WiFi for the week I spent in the hotel and it was very loud in the evenings because there was an event hall right in front of the hotel.Unfortunately not so good for the price...

I thought there were also a few other trees in our forests - I couldn't find any maple, linden, alder or the beautiful copper beech - and there weren't enough for children to keep them entertained.

The hotel is ideally located from the A7 and the S-Bahn.It is upscale in terms of furnishings and the processed wood makes it very nice to look at and creates a homely atmosphere.

Very cozy. Very nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. Cool idea that each room was named after a different type of tree, that there was also a thin trunk with a few branches from that tree in the room and that the relevant information was hanging on the wall. Also very beautiful from the outside. Nicely located. The breakfast was very tasty and the one evening meal: 😋, a 3-course menu!

Great house, very friendly and courteous staff. We booked again today. To all the “complainers”: speak properly to the staff and understand the purpose of the hotel!!!! And EVERYTHING will be fine. We are looking forward to our next stay in August 👍
