If we could, we would give zero stars. The house is totally outdated and musty. Price-performance doesn't fit at all.We give the landlord the following tip:Anyone who is a very unfriendly landlord should not expect friendliness. It's a shame, the area itself is very beautiful.

Great location of the large holiday apartment (105 sqm), but a bit outdated (plastic cooking utensils, ugly artificial flowers throughout the apartment, ...). There are not enough hanging options in the bathroom for large bath towels, especially when the holiday apartment is fully occupied by 7 people. The swimming pond at the main house (a few hundred meters away) is fantastic. In terms of price, the apartment is a bit too expensive. Bread service was great.Strange that the kitchen is not included in the final cleaning (45 euros), you have to clean it yourself.

Very outdated furniture. The owner is very regimented. All in all, the price-performance ratio is not necessarily right.

We stayed in the holiday apartment on the ground floor in Haus Anzengruber in July 2021. In photos on the Internet, the house and its location looked completely different. The house is on a narrow side street. The apartment is ancient (eighties style) and unkempt. The apartment smelled damp and musty. The furnishings left a lot to be desired. For example, glasses were made from old mustard jars. There were 2 rolls of toilet paper “for starters” no cleaning products etc. You had to take care of that yourself. (was unknown to me until then). Towels were only changed once during the two week stay. The towels were full of bleach stains and smelled after being used 2-3 times. If you also wanted to have the towels changed, you should pay an extra charge. If you tried to talk to the landlord, everything was always reassured. The accommodation is not recommended.

We felt very comfortable here. The Ludwig Thoma guest house includes holiday apartments, a breakfast room and a beautiful outdoor area with a natural pool and loungers. We stayed in the Anzengruber country house, which was about 300 m away. Our holiday apartment had two bedrooms with a double and a single bed (one even had a vanity) and a single room. The rooms are large. There is also a kitchen of approx. 2x4 m with a large kitchenette with oven and refrigerator (with freezer compartment). There is plenty of space in the adjoining living/dining room (approx. 4x8 m). The surrounding balcony (can also be accessed from the entrance stairs) is equipped with deck chairs and a table. Many write about too much wood in the rooms. That's a good thing and we also expect that in Bavaria and Austria. The owner is very friendly, accommodating and has good hiking and refreshment tips. At breakfast there were various rolls (with and without grains), bread and sausage, cheese and ham from the region. Muesli, milk and breakfast eggs complete the meal. Only the packaged butter and jellies could be served in bowls from an ecological point of view (after Corona, of course). The region is great for hiking and the lake is super clean. Overall, there is little rubbish in the landscape. We will be back
