Close to the zoo, but the sanitary facilities are not that great (lots of big spiders, pretty cold because the windows were always open)

Everything could actually be so beautiful.A huge area in the middle of Munich, right on the Isar, not far from the Thalkirchen subway station. You could really do something with it. You can always find a place here for a city trip or an overnight stay in transit, even if you arrive late.Or you can do like the city of Munich and let the square and the buildings fall into disrepair for decades. Of the four sanitary buildings, only one is currently open, the others are cordoned off with tape. The supply and disposal station for motorhomes is also cordoned off with pallets and tape. When we asked the receptionist where we should now dispose of it, we were told that we should simply let the gray water run into some drain. The chemical toilet can be emptied in the main building. However, the corresponding facility is very unhygienic. The only thing holding the flush together is tape, and every time it flushes, water spills onto the floor. So when you empty the cassette you end up with your shoes in the wet. And then you get back into the motorhome.... *gag*Toilets without toilet seats in the original 1960s school camp flair are also not an invitation. According to the signs, the sanitary building is closed for cleaning for two hours every day, but given the limescale deposits in the showers, it's hard to believe that more than just mopping the floor is being done. And you should also buy shower coins for that. That's quite outrageous.Luckily we have our own bathroom in the motorhome. The chemical toilet will remain the only thing we use here. Everything else is really disgusting. You also have to throw in 50 cents to wash the dishes - everything costs extra here. And that at the already high price of 37.90 euros for one night (1 motorhome, 2 people). For the current condition of the place, this is outrageously expensive.Fortunately, the situation will soon improve and the place will finally be renovated. At least construction activity can now be seen. The entrance is currently in a different location than usual. We are excited and hope that this will improve. In its current condition, the place is not recommended. When Munich welcomes its guests like this, the city leaves a lasting impression - unfortunately not a good one.

We have been here several times due to family visits in Munich. The place is getting pretty old, which is a shame because the location is really great and you could really do something with it here. However, our visit today is a complete disaster: the place is completely neglected, half of it is already a construction site, and all the washhouses except one are closed. The gray water drain is out of order. When asked, they say we should just let it run into the drain. The only open washhouse is completely run down, I don't want to use it like that. The whole thing for a whopping 37.90 per night for 2 people. Showering and washing dishes cost extra. Even if on October 31st. The end of the season is really unreasonable at the moment. There is a lot of renovation work to do. Hopefully something will happen here.

Called in advance and a tape came saying that the shop was still open and that there were rolls available in the morning. But unfortunately nothing! Everything closed.Hopefully it will be better and cleaner after the renovation!Unfortunately too expensive for that. The only positive thing is the location!

For the Oktoberfest period it's the Top! Excellent location, fairly clean and well-kept toilets, excellent evening entertainment initiatives! In other periods I don't know....

We spent one night here as we were passing through, the location is great as there is a subway station nearby. There is no allocation of space, just as there is no control. The sanitary facilities need renovation, that is the most important point for me. (My wife took a cold shower despite having a token) Otherwise the place is very spacious and the staff is also polite

We were just here. Can't recommend this so called camping site. Super expensive in the low season, no wi fi and hot water cost extra at the sink and shower, there is no toilet paper or soap! Really cheeky!!! Don't go there unless you have to stay…

One star is still too many. Even if the season ends on October 31st, it can't be acceptable that almost all of the toilets are closed. When asked where we should drain the gray water, the following statement was made: just let it run.Something urgently needs to be done before you can charge money for it, and it wasn't cheap. There is no star for service because there was none.

Convenient location with potential for the futureThe parking lot offers an unbeatable location in the middle of Munich, which is a big plus for motorhome travelers. Many of the city's sights and central locations can be reached either on foot or easily by S-Bahn. What is particularly advantageous is that it is still possible to find a parking space even in the middle of the night - in a city like Munich, where parking spaces for motorhomes are rare, this is really a rarity. However, there are also some downsides. The parking lot itself is unfortunately in a rather run-down condition and the sanitary facilities are anything but inviting. Most of these facilities are already closed and the one that is still accessible is in a very unsanitary condition. You only feel comfortable using them if you are not too sensitive. You hear from other campers that electricity cannot be used even though you have paid for it.I find the price a bit too expensive for the low season and due to all the circumstances.€38.90 for motorhomes+ 2 adults and 1 child. What makes us positive, however, is that we have heard that the parking lot is to be renovated. With new sanitary facilities and an overall revised appearance, this parking space could once again become a real insider tip for motorhome travelers in Munich in the future. We hope that by our next visit the planned modernizations will have been completed and the square will shine in new splendor. Despite the current shortcomings, it remains a valuable option if you want to park spontaneously and centrally in Munich.

The campsite is conveniently located and you can always get a parking space, otherwise there is little comfort. It's probably being rebuilt.
