We were very satisfied with our first visit a few weeks ago, all the dishes were impressive. However, the last visit recently was quite disappointing. In some cases the portions were much smaller, more like small children's portions than we were used to. Carp fillet overpriced for what it was. I hope other visitors had better experiences and it was just "a bad day" in the kitchen. Roast dishes were okay. What should be removed from the menu are the apple fritters, frozen goodsSpray cream! Unfortunately, the very nice, friendly service asked whether the apple fritters were home-made or ready-made, but they couldn't be answered, otherwise I wouldn't have ordered. The service staff should be able to answer questions about the dishes on offer.

Good selection of food, tastes good. Unfortunately there is no salad, which has to be ordered separately. Price/performance, too expensive. Service staff friendly and slow.

Cozy beer garden that many have known for decades. Now instead of Greek with Franconian cuisine and new operator and staff. The focus is on meat, but the daily menu also included vegetarian pasta dishes. The meat in Roulade and Schäufele is first-class tender, and the sauces also taste very good. Really top notch craftsmanship! The service staff is friendly, but still needs to get used to it, and the technical operating/ordering system obviously doesn't always run smoothly. We've been there twice so far at 5 p.m. and haven't had any problems, but I noticed at neighboring tables that there were mix-ups etc. the more crowded it got. I hope the problem resolves soon and the restaurant can establish itself! We wish you much success and will come back. Praise also for the clean sanitary facilities.Note 10/24: We've been there for 2 weekends in a row now and everything went smoothly, the initial difficulties seem to have been resolved. Even when we were there at 6 p.m. instead of 5 p.m., the food came quickly. The boiled beef also tastes excellent.

We came across the inn because a friend uploaded a photo of his Schäufel to his WhatsApp status. The sauce really looked like gravy, without any binder or powder. We definitely had to try it.When we were there we had roast pork, sauerbraten, Schäufele and a side salad. All dishes were very good and really well crafted. When it comes to my roast pork, I would even go so far as to say that it was the best roast pork I've eaten in years. We shared apple fritters afterwards and they were solid too. The service was reserved and nice; a water bowl for the dog was brought to us without being asked. Very attentive. The beer garden is certainly very nice in summer, we will check that next year. We'll be coming more often from now on!
