I would like to share a wonderful experience we had in the guest room at Moni's. From the first moment we felt like we were with old friends - the atmosphere was so warm and familiar. Moni and her husband have created a place that is particularly child-friendly and inviting.Our room, affectionately known as the "Fairy Room", was a little gem. It was equipped with an ensuite bathroom which had a lovely large shower which we found very comfortable. Every morning we were treated to an incredibly delicious breakfast that was always fresh and lovingly prepared. Our daughter was able to look for the turtles in the garden after breakfast.The three nights at Moni's were like a little trip to paradise for us. The large pool was a highlight for our daughter.Moni and her husband have created a very special place with their guest room that we can warmly recommend to everyone. We are really looking forward to our next visit and the warm hospitality that awaits us there.

It was simply awesome! A little cocoon of love! Received so kindly, welcomed with little words by Monique who takes great care! The room was magnificent, the bed super comfortable, the bathroom super pretty, every little detail is well thought out, and the cottage as a whole is magnificent, both at night and during the day! In short, I recommend +++!!!

Go there with your eyes closed, the “La Comté” room is a little marvel, for a bit you would easily think you were a hobbit. All modern comforts cleverly decorated to blend into Tolkien's fantasy universe. The welcome is warm, friendly and the very generous breakfast is a pure delight. In short, it's an experience that I recommend if you are a fan of Lord of the Rings but also for lovers of nature and unusual accommodation. Finally, the price is very reasonable which doesn't spoil anything and the accommodation is located not far from the German border (5 minutes) and the border with Luxembourg (1 hour).

A superb discovery for a romantic outing.Warm welcome from Monique and Martial, very well decorated, spacious and clean rooms. Quiet and relaxing corner. Lots of curiosities to visit in the area both in Germany and in France.A good full breakfast that sets you up for the morning.Discovery of the history of Spicheren and beautiful walks.We had a great time chatting with Monique, what we expect in a B&B.Contract fulfilled in every way.We will be back, but this time to enjoy the Shire, Hobbit Holes when it is available again.THANK YOU to Monique and Martial for this trip to Middle Earth.Christian and Valerie

This place is extra ordinairy; the welcome by Moni, the dogs, cats, the beautiful garden and foremost the themes of the rooms! We had the pleasure of staying at Le Comté and as if you step into a fairytale or straight into Lord of the rings. All the hard work for every little detail on the premisses is incredible. These are true lovers when it comes to hospitality and their admiration for Lord of the rings. And I haven’t even mentioned the pool and the breakfast, chatting with Moni about life and future plans. A very, very special place which we highly recommend to people who want to spend one or two night off the beaten track. We hope to see you again and thanks for the experience.

Great stay, the hosts are really great. We slept in the Shire, a Hobbit hole, the room is very comfortable and well decorated, it totally immerses us in the universe. There are small objects everywhere in the room and also magnificent books. Besides, we found 2 with texts written by Moni, don't hesitate to discover them, they are nicely written. Everything is really good, the welcome, the places, the breakfast, the swimming pool, the animals are adorable... We will come back to try the other rooms and enjoy the sauna.Thanks again!

We were the first guests at La Terre du Milieu and were absolutely thrilled. Starting with the warm welcome, then followed by the lovingly furnished rooms and an absolutely great breakfast with the best croissants from Spicheren, homemade pancakes and great fresh juices. The night was super quiet and the ambience gives you the feeling of vacation and relaxation. We can absolutely recommend this small hotel and will certainly book there again.

We were guests of Monique in the Shire and felt very comfortable. Everything is set up with so much love and passion, you completely immerse yourself in another world. We were allowed to look into all of the Lord of the Rings rooms; each one was decorated in a special and referential way. We will be happy to come back. Moni is a great host. Thanks Moni
