When you want then go this hotell but I will never visit this hotel again. Doesn't matter what you say, they won't respond to you at all during the trip, and it's a bad experience.

I lived there for half a year. My room was great in terms of layout. Cleanliness is fine. Unfortunately, there is the worst moth problem there. I didn't find the hallways particularly nice either. And unfortunately the lobby doesn't have any seating to sit down with a few people. If you can choose the Smartments, I would recommend the one in Prenzlauer Berg.

The two of us stayed at smartmets business for 5 days and had a twin room.Positive:Size of the room sufficient. The furniture is ok.Closet size good.Beds comfortable, although quite narrow. If you push them together, ok.Window was super tight, trains could only be heard muffled (the platform was at the same height as the window and about 50m away.)Hardly heard any noises from other guests.Nice bathroom, lots of storage space, towel heater. Shower ok, even if little water pressure. Got hot quickly.Great location. Quickly reach the S-Bahn, shop, eat out, etc. everything is nearby.Negative:As in the many reviews before me: Non-existent cleanliness!!!Stains on the surfaces of the table, cupboard doors and kitchen counters. Crumbs and fluffy dust in the corners. A whole army of fluff under the bed. Hair on the fresh? made bed.So the first thing I did was clean the entire room. I had the feeling that everything was just wiped over with the same rag. Dust on and in the cupboards. Remote control disgustingly messed up. Was glad I had my wipes with me.Kitchen equipment:Great at first glance, not so much at second glance. Pots dented on the underside, pan should only be used carefully so that the handle does not fall off. Broken corkscrew. I preferred not to use the coffee machine. Only 2 cups there.I washed all the dishes myself before using them because there were traces of the previous guest on them.It was quite warm in the room even though it was cold outside. I can well imagine that it is unbearable in summer.Ventilation of the bathroom is non-stop. Unable to switch off. So there's a constant noise that you get used to.Summary:After cleaning ourselves, it was an acceptable place to stay for us. Had a few nice days in Berlin. But I wonder why so many negative reviews about cleanliness aren't being addressed. This drags down what is actually a pretty good accommodation. Too bad! Will we come back? Perhaps. If the reviews of the negative points improve and definitely not in the summer.

Good location, nice and affordable breakfast... Very unpleasant staff... In 8 days the cleaning was not done once in the room which, in addition, did not correspond to the photo...

Perfect hotel! We were there in September 2024. Convenient location, transport interchange - metro nearby. Grocery stores within walking distance. The hotel has good Wi-Fi. The room had everything you need, corresponding to the photos on the website. The room is cozy.

The cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. Hair and dust everywhere. The refrigerator was loose and you had to be careful not to tip over when opening it. The fridge was smelly and musty. The dirt was already collecting between the refrigerator and the cupboard. The room smelled like old cleaning rags. It used to be better.

- Setup: First, something positive. The general furnishings correspond to the images on the Internet and are discreetly and tastefully selected. The only question is whether you want to use them with this level of cleanliness.- Cleanliness: My biggest problem. The room was obviously only superficially cleaned. My predecessor's fingernails and a razor were left on the bed base, and there was house dust everywhere. There was a booger stuck to the wall in the bathroom. The dishes in the cupboard were grossly dirty and those are just the visible contaminations, so you don't even want to know what the other hygiene is like. A disgrace at that price. There is also an unpleasant smell that comes from the drains in the morning hours.- Volume: Given the location on a main road and an S-Bahn, a certain amount of background noise is to be expected, of course. The window closes well and insulates satisfactorily, so that wasn't the main problem. But what I didn't expect (and couldn't expect) were the noises in the house itself: under the room doors there is a 1.5 finger-sized gap through which doors constantly slam, footsteps and conversations in the hallway, etc. create an annoying noise in the room arrive. You have to assume the same about your own noise outside: privacy is probably not a priority. In addition, there is a heater, heat pump or similar, whose humming and roaring can be heard right next to the bed at night. I imagined recovery differently.- General Service: My first impression started with the touchpad for entering the door code not working and I didn't even get into the building until another guest happened to let me in. Second impression: The machine for drinks etc. is broken. The staff seemed friendly on the phone, but that doesn't make up for the rest.

I was there with my work group, on business.• About the location: Shops nearby and directly in the house; e-scooters are often available within 10 minutes. The train station is next to it (which you can also hear when the window is open, at least from my room). Parking spaces are a little away.• Hotel & check-in: Very digital, which I liked. I checked in in advance using the “Hotel Bird” app, which made a lot of things easier on site. I didn't see anyone at the reception in 8 days of stay. However, there was one slightly older guest who found it almost impossible to check in because he didn't know how. Was able to help him, according to his statement he tried in vain for several hours and waited until an employee came, which never happened.• About the rooms: See picture. Surface clean, when I arrived I took a rough look at the bed and it already looked clean. What you see in the picture is under the duvet cover and is not my hair. There were 2 hairs in the shower that were also obviously visible. I wouldn't mind anything but not for the price. My work group often complained about the heat, which other comments confirm. It was cooler outside than in the rooms, but that wasn't the case for me. There was only a fan, no real air conditioning. The room cleaning that comes once a week was sufficient for me. The bed was very uncomfortable, I rarely slept through the night and that was definitely due to the bed and the train station in front of my room. Light switches were accessible directly from the bed. What bothered me the most: The very bad bed. What was good: the check-in and the key card.

The location and facilities are ok so far, although everything is already quite used. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. You can actually see the layer of dust on the backrest of the bed. Worst of all, it's been midsummer temperatures outside for days, it's over 30° in the rooms, you can't ventilate at night because of the 4-lane road and the railway tracks next door. You can't sleep properly at night. The fan is probably intended as a joke. Definitely not recommended in summer.
