At that time there was a trade fair in Dortmund that we took part in. Perfect for sleeping and eating a bit.

The St. George redefined bewilderment for me. When we arrived at night, the key could not be found in the box provided as agreed. The third call to the emergency number finally led to the reaction: “another guest must have taken your key”. The employee who finally showed up felt unable to resolve the issue, had no empathy for my situation, let alone an apology, in his repertoire. The result was a hotel change at 1:00 a.m. The next day, instead of apologizing, there were various accusations. What a shame! The house was very well run ten years ago. There's nothing left of it...

Like the entire hotel, our room was self-made. Quite colorful, but not necessarily comfortable. Unfortunately not particularly clean either. Cobwebs and dust in the corners. There was no service, reception could only be reached by phone.Breakfast was ok, nothing special. All in all, not a good price/performance ratio for 160€/night for 2 adults + child. There are better alternatives.

The street is a bit noisy. Otherwise everything was very uncomplicated and friendly. Rooms lovingly designed.

We go to so many hotels just to go to concerts. But we haven't encountered anything like this in 8 years. Impossible and dirty from the outside. Then you have to get the key from a compartment at the back. The entrance hall is bright but dirty. There are 3 chairs around. There is no staff at the reception. Elevator doesn't work. We had 2 rooms. We would have preferred to go back. Such a smell in the rooms. And everything was so dirty. Disgusting. The bathroom, we first got cleaning cloths from Action opposite. A bed, a table and a television. But everything is covered in dirt. The windows - don't have to flash. But at least the frames could be clean. You can't hang anything in the wardrobe because of the smell. A small coffee machine - where a brew comes out for 1.50 (looks like washing up water) and expired coffee milk is next to it. A small smoking corner (balcony) you can't sit down because of the dirt and disgust. We saw 2 aquariums that were cleaner than the rooms. The breakfast room, probably the showroom. A little cleaner - and the buffet was rich. Then we finally saw a person. But he couldn't say hello. He just brought rolls and sorted the sausage a bit. Then we pulled away and there was no one in sight. We had to throw the key into a box. Then we went out and drove. So, you can really say that. "A gift is still too expensive. Never, ever again. From the outside it looks like a love hotel.

So I can't understand some of the negative recessions. We stayed in the hotel (room 36) for one night with 3 adults because we went to a concert. After all the negative reviews I was skeptical at first, but we were pleasantly surprised. Check-in was easy using the key box. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the area was quiet. We had also booked breakfast, which was sufficient and there was enough choice of sausage and cheese for us. There were also cornflakes, muesli, yogurt, fruit and warm eggs. There was also free WiFi. For our short stay the price-performance ratio was great. Thanks to the team

A real cleanliness problem, cobwebs on the walls and ceiling. In the shower soap dispenser with I would say mold. Facilities worse than a youth hostel. All in all, absolutely not recommended. Changed hotels after one night. After speaking to an employee, she didn't even ask what the problem was. At least she remained friendly.

The Hotel Georg was by far the worst hotel I have ever visited. The service was a disaster. There was no one there. The rooms are old-fashioned, worn & dirty! The bathroom smells like hell & I doubt it was ever cleaned! On the whole, the hotel is a disgrace, especially since the prices are an outrage! Not recommendable!!!
