I took a lunch break here on the descent, August 2024.The service was great and it was very quick until I received my order.I ordered spaghetti bolognese and the portion was huge. I just missed the meat a bit, it was more of a tomato sauce with a homeopathic portion of minced meat.Other than that it was okay.

At the end of the season we stayed overnight at the Knorrhütte again. Nevertheless, the hut manager and his team were still super friendly and motivated, and the rooms and sanitary facilities were extremely clean. Because there was too much snow, the innkeeper advised us not to go all the way to the summit of the Zugspitze. As we quickly realized, this was absolutely the right recommendation. If any of us were underwhelmed, we would have been offered to carry one of the full beer kegs up. This led to some funny reflections in the evening. It has to be fun too, always happy again!!!

We went here for lunch during our hike to the Zugspitze in high season. It was well attended. However, we found a spot on the terrace straight away. The view is great. The service was very attentive and friendly. The Kaiserschmarren came quickly and tasted excellent. The portions are reasonable. The price-performance ratio is good.

We headed for the Knorrhütte as part of our tour to the Zugspitze.The map is clear, but offers everything you would expect from a hut. Price/performance is right!The staff is very friendly, courteous and quick in service even when there is a lot to do when the weather is nice!Highly recommended to stop here again on a tour of the Zugspitze!

Perfect for an overnight stay before you want to master the Zugspitze the next day... we started in Garmisch Partenkirchen and it was a challenge to get to the Knorrhütte 💪 so we decided to spend the night there instead... so I can't complain without us having booked...we still got 2 seats...the menu was ok 👌 and the beer was tasty too 😄👍 the drying room could be bigger 😜 and remember to always have cash...you can only do so in cash pay... mfg

First time Jews tach,It happened in the summer of 2024. I had the pleasure of being able to complete the excellent climb to the Knorrhütte... after the high point of the enchanting hikes, I experienced a drastic low point!... let's start with the first flaw:- The drying room lacked any function (superfluous and damp)- The prices exceeded the zenith of the Zugspitze (very expensive)- In order to process the horror we had just experienced, we thought about starting a game of Uno... but this idea turned out to be a fatal decision. (19th century maps.)- I noticed a hint of the smell of sweat in the mattress camps, even though I used the “shower” beforehand- In addition, a strange couple stole a mattress, whereupon the four of us had to squeeze into a three-mattress bed (horrible experience)- Let's get to the shower. The shower was chargeable and small. There were also 5 naked men waiting in front of the shower door (inhumane experience)Conclusion: I refuse to use the name “Knorrhütte” for the rest of my life.I strongly advise anyone who wants to climb the Zugspitze to find other accommodation.

Actually everything was great. But if you know other huts in comparison, which are also only served by helicopter, the food could still be improved a lot. Half board ready-made soup and ready-made tomato sauce for the spaghetti. Breakfast very bland. Sorry, even under these circumstances more would be possible...

I had booked an overnight stay on the way to the Zugspitze. The reception was nice, the room was clean, small with lots of beds. There weren't enough sinks, showers (only one per gender) and toilet. There was only an hour for breakfast so everyone was in the small washroom at once. I found the overnight stay and half board to be overpriced in terms of price/performance ratio.Breakfast consisted of 2 slices of bread, some sausage and cheese. A tiny piece of butter and a bowl of jam. The refill for the coffee was half a cup, and no refill was given again. My cola wheat cost €6.90 in the evening.I'm disappointed. Where a lot of tourists come there doesn't always have to be something to do with Abzoke?I know everything comes by helicopter…. But I have already visited 5 more huts this year and I know that there is another way!

We had reserved for one night on the way to the Zugspitze. Fair prices and very friendly hospitality. We had booked a shared room. You could sleep well there. For €4 you can shower on site, a relief after a long day of hiking. Washrooms and toilets very clean. The food was super tasty.

We hiked to the Zugspitze and took a break there. I ordered the Kaiserschmarrn, it was incredibly well made and extremely tasty. Top!

The Munich section has changed the regulations about which sleeping bags are allowed and which are not. That's why hikers are sometimes turned away here.

Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at the Knorrhütte. It was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is warm water for showering against shower tokens (3 minutes) and we had a great, sumptuous dinner. We booked the Zugspitz menu in advance and a shared room (7 beds were available). It felt like a youth hostel 😊I recommend packing ear plugs! A pillow and a wool blanket were also available.

An overnight stay at the Knorrhütte is definitely an experience. Everything is well organized, the beds in the mattress camp are comfortable and clean.You must enter the dormitories wearing slippers or slippers, which are provided.Dinner can be ordered until 7:30 p.m. The food was quite salty, which was tasty after the strenuous hike. The portions are huge.In the evening you could pass the time with board games.

Great hut on the way to the Zugspitze! I've come back several times. Both the route from Garmisch through the Reintal and the Gatterl circuit pass here. That's why the Knorrhütte is very popular with hikers. Prices are normal at hut level.
