My wife and I were at the Gufferthütte from October 3rd to October 4th, 2024. We started at the hiking car park where we hiked leisurely for about 2 hours to the Gufferthütte. Despite the not great weather, we were met by a very warm hostess (Kathi) and a super nice team (Annika, Lisa, Kathi's mother and Annika's sister). As the sign said, the dry spell was over. We booked an overnight stay with half board. The food, noodle soup, goulash with spaetzle and red cabbage as well as a dessert was very tasty, there would have been seconds if you weren't full, but the portions were absolutely sufficient. We spent a wonderful day in the very cozy parlor with a tiled stove with everything you need for a hearty, rustic day in the hut. Another highlight were Kathi's mom's self-knitted socks, which I was able to give to the rest of the hut visitors after 4 wheat beers and a couple of walnut liqueurs ;-).Conclusion: very family-friendly hut. Ascension is not that difficult with a really great landlady and a super friendly staff who will fulfill all possible wishes. We will definitely come back to test the new sock model in 2025.Thank you for a wonderful dayAndrea & Christopher

I stayed at the Gufferthütte with a friend for two nights. We received a very warm welcome and the team as a whole was always very nice and helpful. The food was very good and especially the drink prices were very moderate. Washrooms are always clean and absolutely sufficient for the number of overnight guests. Definitely visit. Highly recommended!

We first had to wait a long time to order and watch other people being served before us. To make matters worse, the waitress then sold our drinks to another table because she didn't know what to do with them. We then got up and left. Probably won't come again!

The Gufferthütte has a very beautiful landscape. The climb from Siebenhütten / Kreuth is strenuous but can be done with good conditions and good shoes. The way there via the path is very, very beautiful and recommended. Alternatively, you can (at least partially) take the longer forest path back. The food at the hut and the service are top.

Was very nice. The mountaineer's meal, lentil stew with sausages and the next day rice with chili con carne, very tasty😋 At night you could hear the deer roaring. Plenty of breakfast buffet.

A very great hut in a beautiful area with absolutely top food!It was my first time at the Gufferthütte and I walked to the hut from the Kögelboden car park. From there, the hut can be reached both on foot and by bike. The hut has a large, almost all-day sunny terrace that invites you to sit and sit. The food and the service are very good. From the autumn menu I can highly recommend the spinach dumplings and the Kaiserschmarn. The facilities are very good for a DAV hut. Among other things, there is a shower and the option to charge your cell phone, headlamp or power bank if necessary. The shared room was big enough, very clean and the beds and blankets were fine for a cabin. The hut can be reached from the valley on several paths with different levels of difficulty and a variety of tours of different lengths and levels of difficulty are possible from the hut. A big compliment goes to the hut landlady Kathi and her team, who make the hut a place to feel comfortable with their hospitality, excellent service and willingness to help.

We received a very friendly welcome. The rooms are very friendly, warm and clean. It feels like a vacation. The food is very good. We had vegan curry with rice and vegetables. The breakfast is rich and there is something for everyone. I would go there again at any time.
