I thought for a long time whether I should leave a review or not. After reading the reviews here regarding Schlemmerblock users, I will now comment. I understand the gourmet block itself to be a marketing promotion. So people are reached here who might not have come to the restaurant, but who can definitely become regular customers if everything goes right. Therefore, I don't understand the answers from the owner regarding negative reviews in connection with Schlemmerblock users. I don't think that the users of the block generally have anything to complain about and would also like to praise if the stay was great, at least that's how I do it.But now to my experience that I had last Sunday. For me personally, it is important that when I enter a restaurant I feel attracted to the atmosphere, which says, yes, this is the right place for me. In fact, in the entrance area, a bucket of paint was smiling right at me, and otherwise it seemed very untidy. Unfortunately, the impression was reflected on the covered terrace, very untidy, and also in the outdoor area, weeds all over the floor, table decorations that make you wonder what's the point. Nevertheless, I thought to myself, OK, let's hide the optics and give the food a chance. Finally, there are also many positive reviews regarding the food.After receiving our proper drinks our order was taken. We had a starter and two main courses. The starter was okay, although you can't go wrong with warming feta cheese. 1.5 hours after we ordered, the main course finally arrived. I really don't mean any harm to anyone and the kitchen was probably just having a bad day. But the fact is that our meat was not seasoned, apart from a mixture of herbs that tasted like almost nothing. No salt, no pepper or just very little of it that you couldn't taste it. Even my wife didn't taste anything and she is very sensitive to spices. In addition, we were probably the first guests that day to receive gyros. Unfortunately it was very dark, crusty, greasy and only lukewarm. I assume it was from the day before, wouldn't have been bad if the quality had been better. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. My wife's skewer was juicy, but mine was unfortunately dry and, as already described, not seasoned. The meatball was dripping with fat but that didn't matter.To be honest, I can't fully understand the 5 star reviews here but as I said, maybe the kitchen was just having a bad day, but it was still as I described it.Conclusion: The chaos in the dining room was off-putting, which was also clearly visible from the counter. Despite all the love and staff shortage, in my opinion there should still be a certain order so that guests feel comfortable.I think the 1.5 hour wait for the main course is borderline. A receipt upon payment should be standard so that a guest can understand how something was calculated, but that wasn't the case here either.Personally, I don't want to enter this restaurant again because I didn't feel comfortable, it's a shame.Nevertheless, I hope for everyone involved that at least the kitchen only slept with us because otherwise all the positive reviews would be fake and I can't imagine that.

We became aware of this restaurant through “mobile vouchers” and visited it in the evening during our Bad Kreuznach vacation on the Saturday of the 2024 fair.It's a bit hidden but the search was worth it:- Excellent, delicious Greek food 🤤🤤- Lovely, courteous innkeeper family 😍If we lived nearby, we would happily come back and definitely recommend the place 👍👍👍

My wife and I have been eating at El Greco for years. We always enjoyed it very much. The schnitzels are always freshly made and the sauces are delicious. The portions are always plentiful. The Greek dishes like robber's skewer or suflaki are good. Tzatziki is also delicious. I could never fault anything. We always left there satisfied. We also have Schlemmerblock and have never tried this Greek one. We will eat there again next Friday. Then my mother is there from Mannheim. Hopefully there will be an ouzo. Not that the owner is frustrated with the owners of a gourmet block.

Very tasty Greek food and friendly service.If you like good food and make a few visual compromises, this is the place for you.Recommendation:- Feta breaded, warm starter platter- stuffed bifteki, gyros and schnitzelThe portions are large and the prices are completely ok. When the weather is nice you can sit comfortably on the terrace.A nice stopover for our bike tour!

We eat there regularly, the portions are large, the quality is impeccable, the prices are very moderate and the service is really good. Individual wishes are always taken into account. I can only recommend it.

The food was excellent, fresh and really tasty. We were served very kindly and courteously by the owner. A table reservation makes sense. We will come again.

I really like it at El Greco. I've tried almost everything and am thrilled with the good portions. My Jägerschnitzel was really tasty 😋. And service is top. Everyone is very friendly.👍
