We spent two nights here at the end of October and felt very comfortable. The campsite has been designed with a lot of love and it is idyllic and very quiet. The sanitary facilities are clean, dishwashing and washing facilities are available. A bread roll service is offered and there is also a restaurant. There is a bus stop within walking distance, from which you can reach Weimar within 15 minutes (timetables can be viewed at the campsite).For your daily needs, you can reach the FarmVend self-service village shop within walking distance, which is open 24/7. The employees are very friendly, you immediately feel welcome, everything is very uncomplicated and they are available to help (thanks again for the pick-up service). We can recommend this campsite without exception. Thank you for the lovely stay!

We were at the CP today because we became aware of it through the reviews. Unfortunately we couldn't meet the operator. But there was a cell phone number that could help us at the locked reception. Unfortunately, even after calling several times, we couldn't reach anyone. It's a shame actually. Then I had to keep driving.

In itself a great campsite, reservations are recommended for the front part, which is cozy but busy. However, we were standing in a kind of old parking lot that was being renovated, all the way behind the pond outside the campsite, emergency places. Quiet, but no water, but electricity requires 40 meters of cable. Toilet building with sufficient service. After 6 p.m. the manager makes a new meal every day, which is also fine. Taking bus 4 from the village to Weimar is recommended. Location also close to KZ Buchenwald. Take bus 4 from Weimar and then get off at the old railway. We walked through the forest over the railway track to it, walked over the bearing, then through the forest again to the campsite. 6km. Very nice impressive walk. Google Maps required.

We are currently at the campsite.A small, beautifully located place designed with a lot of love, almost fully booked at the moment. The operators are very nice, absolutely dog-friendly (with a welcome gift😊), helpful. There are several shaded areas. The sanitary facilities are fairly new and very clean. The smoked trout, which is available to order on Fridays, is highly recommended. We'll definitely be back

Small, idyllic campsite designed with great attention to detail. Andreas, groundskeeper and catering manager in one person, has everything under control. The smoked trout...the burner, and of course all the other dishes too. Dogs are welcome...campers too, of course.

On the way here we thought. Oh dear, where did we end up here? But when I got here it was just wow. We received a very friendly welcome and everything was explained and shown to us. A modern and fresh place. Showers, toilets etc. clean and well maintained.

We like coming here. The operator does it with passion. Every guest is warmly welcome. A lot has changed again.It's getting more and more beautiful here on the square.Thanks to the team and stay healthy everyone.See you soon 👍🌝 2024 another great weekend in a family atmosphere. This time too we noticed changes. The places are now easily accessible even in rainy weather. There is a chippings area in each plot. Lighting has also been installed at the parking spaces. Great.

The campsite was created and maintained with a lot of love...small but nice.We were there with our bus over a long weekend to attend a concert in Weimar.The location is ideal for exploring Weimar and the surrounding area.We were welcomed in a very friendly manner and looked after...we would love to come back!!!

A great campsite with super nice operators. There is a lot of space, the complex is very lovingly designed and is very close to Weimar. We received a warm welcome and were even given access to a parking space that had actually just been closed so that we could set up our motorhome and tents there. The sanitary facilities are also totally clean.On the last day I forgot my toiletry bag there and it was sent to me without any problem after a phone call.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and are happy to answer any questions you may have. Particularly noteworthy is the family atmosphere that prevails on the pitch.A small downside is the fact that only cash payment is accepted. In this day and age, a payment option by card would certainly be more practical.Conclusion: The Ettersburg campsite is an ideal place for everyone who is looking for peace and nature, but at the same time appreciates the proximity to cultural highlights. We stayed at this campsite for 3 nights. Very quiet and pleasant. Owners very friendly. When you arrive, check the sign in the beer garden to see which spot you have. Showers very neat. For me, everything a campsite should offer. Visited Weimar with camper. Park at P2 bahnhof. Buchenwald visited both with a camper and on foot. Beautiful memorial route. Buchenwald is free to visit. Dogs not welcome.

CP is well located for visiting Weimar & Buchenwald concentration camp. Sanitary facilities are ok and also clean.The prices are too high for the quality offered, no question. The fact that you have to pay an electricity fee even though you don't need any electricity is probably only found here...The required mandatory service fee, which does not go beyond the minimum service offer, certainly serves exclusively to improve the operator's profits.

The campsite seems to be quite new, and all the spaces are spotless. It's a very quiet and peaceful environment. We really enjoyed it but it was a bit pricey. We paid €40 for 2 people, one night with a rooftent, I guess you paid for what you get considering most of the campsites around with paid showers and no WiFi.
