It's nice and the rooms have their own toilets and showers, but you can go to the roof without any problems and therefore it's not intended for young people as they will almost all climb on the roofs...

We were outside in the bungalo and a live spider came out of the shower and there was a dead insect in the room. We didn't have soap in the bathroom and asked about it when doing the review and the man told us we had to use our shower gel. Unfortunately there was no network either. Really dissatisfied with the hostel. This youth hostel is not recommended. Under no circumstances go there.

Beautifully located youth hostel with rustic charm. In the middle of nature with huge grounds for outdoor activities and games. Ideal for adventurers, hikers and nature lovers. Still close enough to the city center to enjoy culture. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and functional, and the common areas are well-equipped with games and books. We couldn't complain about the food either. It was more than sufficient and tasty. Last but not least, big praise and many thanks to the nice and courteous employees. You made our stay really nice!

The rooms are very tiny. The toilet and shower are in the sleeping room, so if someone has to pee in the middle of the night every one is awake. The bathroom was only 2m² so no space at all. The hostel is located in the middle of the forest which makes the place very quiet and calm but u have to use a car to get anywhere.

I read a lot of reviews and wasn't that impressed before I arrived. Any critical impression about the bed linen is justified. Although the laundry was freshly washed and ironed (i.e. directly from the laundry), it actually had stains and drops of blood on it. We would like to point out that the JGH only rents the bed linen... well here There is obviously a lack of communication.I don't want to give any credit to all the other reviews. It's a youth hostel and for the low price, it's clear that the rooms aren't cleaned every day. Yes, the shower is small, but what else is it not a star hotel. The food was okay, as before mentioned, the whole thing was very cheap and you shouldn't expect a 5 star menu. It's really designed as a JGH so the food is served that way. However, it was absolutely sufficient and tasted good too :-). Great staff. The rooms for children (playroom) are very well equipped. We all had fun. There are also enough rooms for the rainy days so it won't be boring. The surrounding area is great to explore, fresh air, great forest, everything calls for you to go outside. Great surroundings and lots of fun in the fresh air with the family, and let's be honest You don't need the internet, so you can tolerate the weak internet for a few days.

The youth hostel is located in the middle of the forest, so you can party for a long time and be loud without being disturbed. It resembles a forester's lodge with a beautiful wooden veranda where you can sit together very well, which was very pleasant. The service was also very friendly and accommodating when three people in our group dropped out at short notice and also provided cutlery for the grill. You had to provide your own plates. Less good were the wet rooms (there's no other way to say it) in the rooms, which were a lot for an adult person! They were too small, so they had to use the bathrooms in the basement. You could barely close the door without feeling claustrophobic. The breakfast wasn't good either, the bread was moldy and the orange juice tasted bad somehow. That sounds bad, but I can really recommend the youth hostel because of its outdoor area and location, especially if you're only staying for a weekend. Booking several months in advance is recommended.

The rooms in the house look like they are in prison. The bathroom is very very small, there is no window and you can hear everything. You have to shower with the door open. There are stains on the beds that are probably period stains. The mattresses are rock hard or completely worn out. The railing in the disabled room is completely broken, as are the blinds and the window at the back. The bathroom is completely flooded with water every time you shower. The internet is very bad and reception is non-existent. The "pool" is now a fire pond and is completely dirty and stinks. The volleyball field is very worn and the risk of injury is very high. Fell down the slope several times. The walk to the bus stop is a good kilometer long. The food doesn't really taste good, but 3 days of wraps weren't bad either. Except they tasted like flour. (We took precautions and always got something to eat in town). Otherwise very quiet even if very dusty and old, there are also a lot of spiders here. Particularly large spiders.

To wonder if we are not in Buchenwald- filthy, bad+nauseating food- accommodation in poor condition for a disabled room, the door does not close, broken shutters, window handle missing + uncleaned environment, a lot of dust-the swimming pool looks more like a greenhouseTo avoid I would have warned you

The youth hostel impresses with its rustic buildings, idyllic location and its lovely employees. Nevertheless, the youth hostel is in need of renovation or refurbishment, which is evident, for example, in the windows, blinds, bathrooms, laminate floors and the unkempt, abandoned outdoor areas. The existing pool and its roof were never properly maintained, meaning it can no longer be used. The food supply offers a solid basic offering for breakfast and rustic food material for other meals. However, the hot food leaves a lot to be desired. Pure frozen food that either floats in water or fat and is only thawed and served half-heartedly. In summary, the youth hostel has really great potential. If the deficiencies described were met, there would be more stars.PS: I cannot confirm the criticism of the dirty rental laundry. The bed linens were in a very clean and fresh condition.

- Rooms that are much too small- beds not clean- Heaters only work at certain times- Unlatch the window- Window leaks- Sink leaks slightly- far too many people per room (10, 8, 5-person rooms)- only 2 sockets per room- only one bathroom per room- Soil is partially detached- Food watery and looks like it comes from a can- Orange juice very diluted- WiFi, well, in some places- The toilet doesn't always flush- can hardly turn in the bathroom (approx. 1.5m²)- Walls very thin (you can hear everything)
