Hotel & Gasthof Zum Postkutscher

I actually wanted to award negative points. The first thing you notice is that it says “hotel and restaurant” on the internet, but it is actually a bed and breakfast hotel. For me this is clear fraud. When we met the manager of the house everything was clear. Unkempt and terrible manners. We hadn't behaved correctly either, but you can't deal with paying guests like that. All in all: level at the highest level. Minus 5 stars!!!!Apparently the owner attaches great importance to the fact that there is a "normal" restaurant. This is definitely not the case, if you stay in the hotel with your partner and children, there is no possibility of having dinner. The restaurant will only be open by arrangement for groups of 15 or more people. Usually for funeral parties as there is a cemetery next door. Breakfast is possible, like at a Garni hotel.As far as the “drinking session” was concerned, we had agreed with a hotel employee that we could use the outdoor furniture. Four siblings and their spouses took part in the “feast”. All participants between 65 and 75. The 4 siblings went on a bike ride the next day. In terms of drinks, the hotel made the “binge” possible and made good money from it. For 3 bottles of wine, which you can get in the supermarket for around 12 euros, we paid 45 euros to the hotel. When it started to rain, we sat down in the lobby of the hotel and continued the conversation at an appropriate volume. Since a longer bike ride awaited us the next day, the meeting was planned for no later than 11 p.m. The depiction of the hotel is misleading, as is the depiction of a supposedly normal hotel.It should be mentioned that the smoke detector was missing in at least 1 room. We reserve the right to take legal action if necessary.Due to the circumstances described, the hotel is absolutely not recommended for normal travelers and families with children. Even business travelers will not feel like looking for an opportunity to have dinner after they arrive.Here's another reaction from the hotel. Not only are the smoke detectors missing, they also simply throw away the guests' forgotten things. A small, quiet hotel with breakfast.Very suitable for cyclists to explore the beautiful city of Cottbus and Park Branitz.

I was recommended the accommodation and can absolutely understand the recommendation.Why?Because...• the situation is quiet• the room is bright, clean & quiet• Always greet the employees and help them in a friendly manner if you have any questions• the breakfast and WiFi are very good, which business travelers really appreciateGladly again!

We were there for a celebration. The service and food was excellent.Thank you again!

Rooms clean and well maintained.Cleaning takes place every day.Breakfast is standard, but quite a bit more expensive at 12 euros.You can save, save on breakfast🤭Otherwise everything is nice and perfect.

Unfortunately no restaurant service

We didn't have an overnight stay, just a funeral service. Good quality, friendly staff, professional handling, can be recommended without hesitation!

The rooms and bathrooms are modernly furnished and everything is clean and tidy.Breakfast is a buffet and there is something for everyone.The staff is very friendly and helpful.We were there with our dog. Wasn't a problem.There are enough parking spaces available.The tram stop is diagonally opposite. This means you can easily be in the old town in just a few minutes.We really liked it and can recommend it.

Unfortunately we have to give a point, but it's not deserved. We were reserved for a funeral service and when we tried to confirm the number of people by phone 2.3 days later, we found out that both rooms were occupied. There appears to be no communication between employees. Not recommended with all conscience.To the answer from "Hotel Zum Postkutscher"We wanted to reserve it, approx. 2 days so that we can specify the number of people so that we can make it happen personally. But the reservation failed. But I think it's a shame that we were supposed to have been called by the locality. Thank God another location was willing to host us at our memorial service at such short notice. We still wish you and your team a good time.Best regards
