I stayed in room number 4 downstairs. The room is ideal for one person, but I'm not sure if it can fit 2 people. The sea and the city center are within walking distance. Breakfast is quite sufficient, coffee and tea are offered in the rooms.

Extremely poor price-performance ratio: Very small room, almost no storage space (except for a 20x30 cm board next to the beds, no storage in the bathroom either and poor lighting. There was no mineral water available in the room or in the entire house. On the At first glance everything looked nice, great atmosphere, but then the defects were just a shame. I had very fond memories of the hotel.

Honestly? I prefer a pension with breakfast than a hotel. We still had the luxury room upstairs.Tastefully decorated, but the chairs hang instead of sittingWardrobe for 1 person, certainly not for 3.Everything flaps at night because of the wind.It is clear that it is a converted semi-detached house, up 2 squat stairs. No elevatorNo one present, everything with a passLady from breakfast doesn't say anything.Breakfast had a wide choice, but I still miss fried eggs and scrambled eggs, there was only crackling dry boiled egg.Your ebikes are left in the rain.Would go to Zuyderduin next time, no more Neptune.

Since we were looking for something in Egmont at short notice, we came across the Hotel Neptunus. The location is quite central and everything in town is within walking distance, so you can reach everything within a few minutes.Regarding the service, one can only say that they really saved on everything. To check in you have to go to the neighboring Hotel Zuiderdiun, which takes care of the check-in.And that's where the service ends!!!In the actual Hotel Neptune, no one is responsible for you anymore. At breakfast you find a lady who probably prepares everything for breakfast, but that's it.The rooms are attractively furnished, although the functionality and size of the rooms are far below average. You can actually only assume a 2 star category here. There is only one chair, no table and no other storage space. The “PC monitor” on the wall is tiny and only has the most necessary channels programmed into it.Guys, it's so difficult to make a few more channels available, it doesn't cost anything.Because even in Holland there are rainy days.No shelf for the suitcase, no space for it either. So we had to put the suitcases in the bathroom, which was quite large compared to the actual room.So there is only a tiny cupboard in which you can store something.Breakfast is only available from 8:30 a.m., which I find to be late. This guarantees that all guests open up at the same time and flood the breakfast room.Instead of the longed-for peace and pleasure of spending a quiet time over breakfast, you are already fighting for the best place. Here too, the tables and the space between them are very narrow, so you have to bend over.Once you've found a halfway decent spot, there's the obligatory queue at the coffee machine.Oh, those were the days when you could get a pot of coffee per table and not find yourself in a queue on your vacation like in the university cafeteria.Cups without handles for coffee aren't my thing anyway, but you can't get anything else here.Once you press the “Café Crema” button, you get half a cup full. That's probably a joke, they probably don't mean it seriously 😳.But here's my tip, please press the button again after the coffee has moved through the machine and the cup will be filled accordingly.Overall, the breakfast can be understood as very simple, nothing more.No scrambled eggs, no, there aren't any, not even when asked, but there is fried bacon.A lot of things in typical and useless packaging always help the environment, yes, yes….And. I don't get plastic straws anymore, something is going wrong here. Why not just put a sugar shaker on the table, done and the glass it is made of is also recyclable 👍.The bread selection is also rather disappointing, there is only industrially sliced stuff here, which is a shame. There are probably also a few grain rolls, but they are gone by the first three guests in front of you and are not refilled. All in all, just disappointing.Oh one more thing, a lot of people write that the hotel is very noisy! It's true. But if the guests would simply behave and think about the other guests, perhaps things would be different. But it's always the same people who don't want to hold the doors and just let them close, thank you for being there during our stay.

Simple hotel with basic amenities. The rooms are small but nicely designed. The breakfast is great! Next door is the entrance to the dunes and there are parking spaces in front of the house (€7 per day)The rooms are extremely spacious and the doors slam very loudly.
