Very good value place to stay in Amsterdam. But it’s good to be prepared.Extremely small cabin rooms with small bunk (1.8m length). Only one person can stand up in the room at a time. The bunk at the top is very narrow. Clean and comfortable. We slept extremely well.A basic continental breakfast was included. Nice communal space. Very friendly staff.Shared showers which were moderately clean (I’d recommend wearing thongs on your feet). Had one warmish shower but mostly cold.

Let's start with the positive: the location. Now the negative points, which will be much more numerous. Before even entering the room, you have to fight with the door. We had to open it almost with our shoulders. The roof was leaking right next to the door.Tiny room: barely 2 people fit in. People over 1m80 probably won't fit in the beds. Well, if you can call it a bed... it's so tight and low that it should be called a coffin. For common areas: sitting on the toilet, our knees touch the door. The showers are ridiculously small, and their condition doesn't make you want to go there.Cleanliness level: our room was literally MOLDY, due to the permanent humidity. A poor towel tries to stop the water flowing through the window, but is clearly not enough. The mold doesn't stop there: the ceiling, floor and cupboard are also affected. It was impossible for us to sleep in such a filthy place, so we left 2 hours after checking out.Not a member of staff either on arrival or departure. The price is certainly attractive compared to the location, but don't waste your money booking here.

Delightful stay. I was a little apprenshive about staying here as I was not sure what to expect, but it was a great stay.Great location, whilst the rooms are small, the room was comfy and clean. Only issue it get a little warm and stuffy, and there only a pot hole style window. There is a free breakfast, its basic continental, cereal, toast, ham, cheese and youghurt, it was decent enough to set you up for the day, only little issue, it got really busy at times.Free wifi in the common area,Its communal shower and toilet, they were clean and I never had an issue in using them. What I lived about it everyone staying were pleasent, and spoke to each other. It definatly stay here again, if I get back to Amsterdam, and it was a good experience, got to visit Zaamand aswell as we sailed up there on the morning I left.

It is an economical option for Amsterdam prices. Good breakfast (quite complete). Few bathrooms (and not very clean) for the number of rooms.

This is a whole new experience for me what with living in/out of hotels. I had my own cabin - not ideal if you have a fear of confined spaces. I met some lovely people from all parts of the world. Annie was a fabulous host. Breakfast is free and plentiful - all continental. I recommend this passengership to anyone who wants a change from the norm. My only regret is, I wish I could of spent a few extra days here.

Very small room with a strong musty smell, fine for one night but not beyond. Good breakfast and location.

The common area is so cool to chill in the evening, there will always be other people to chat with. Also having breakfast there is quite a good start to the day. The location we had was awesome, we just needed to take the free ferry to go to the city centre. The rooms are small but totally okay to sleep in. Just the top bed is too narrow. I had no problem sleeping in the down bed 🙂 The ship moved on my last day so I could enjoy a short ride while having breakfast before my checkout. Definitely the best you can get for this price and I would like to stay there again.

Spending the night on the Avanti is a real experience. It's very central and we were even able to take a short trip on the ship when it changed berths. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. The crew is friendly and the atmosphere is authentic. Space is of course limited, but you know that when you book a ship like this. We would definitely come again.
