Super long check in times. Staffl lying about not taking card after which they will accept card but ask for more money. The old man who seems to be in charge took my phone and wanted to leave himself a review. After I stoped him he insisted I leave a review. He was really wierd after I refused him multie tines. Very uncomfortable experience I will never come back here.

There are 20 dead flies in the roomšŖ°. You can smell a strong smell of third-hand smoke in the roomš¬. It makes people feel very dirty. I will never stay in this place again in the futureš”š”š”

NEFARIOUS! I hope any person that considers not spending those extra 15ā¬ to stay in any other place reads this and reconsiders. The workers there are are rude, nasty and straight up unpleasant. (The older gentlemen was nice). I really hope they don't get any future clients ever again. Any 4 or 5 star reviews they put it themselves but there's no way anybody had a good time in there. If it wasn't so cold I would've rather slept on the street. When you walk into the room, you instantly feel the air is thicker, the beds are compact like some sort of nefarious twisted prison for children. Children because the beds are that size. Beds that were dirty from the previous poor soul that had to spend an uncomfortable amount of hours there. I didn't see the bathroom or if there were any other parts to be seen. I got in, tried to lose consciousness as fast as possible. Got out. God help anybody who does the same mistake. Spend those extra 20ā¬ anywhere else.

Lovely and very helpful staff! Clean rooms. A nice shower and a cosy kitchenette in the basement. Value for money!
Met a bunch of great traveling people here from all over the world. And the house cat is the cherry on the cake.

I had a terrible experience during my stay at this hostel. The room was smelly, and the cleanliness was far from acceptable. To make matters worse, I woke up with multiple bed bug bites all over my body, which is completely unacceptable. The bathroom was also very small and poorly maintained. Overall, the hygiene standards here are seriously lacking. I would not recommend staying here.

ATTENTION!! BIG SCAM!!!!I strongly advise against booking in this hotel!In fact, I reserved a room on August 17th.When I arrived, the place was already not necessarily well located, plus the welcome really left something to be desired and I'm not talking about the extremely musty smell at the reception, a smell that was almost breathable...Then the receptionist tells me that there are no rooms available because 2 are being renovated and therefore unavailable. I think that this kind of detail must be communicated to the website with which they collaborate in order to avoid this kind of inconvenience, which I communicate to the receptionist, but the latter makes me understand that it does not matter to him... so I am looking for another hotel to spend the night when it was already very lateā¦The next day, I see on my bank account that the hotel withdrew the money for the room that I never used or even saw and for the room that THEM decided to cancel!So I try to contact the receptionist, who informs me that since I don't have the exact time of my arrival at the hotel when I come, then he can't do anything for me! A BLAAAAGUE!!He gives me the email address of the āmanagerā to whom I send feedback on my dissatisfaction as well as a request for a refund.To date, I have had NO response from them...No professionalism!! Just big thieves and very proud to make it understood!Shame on them! I absolutely do not recommend!

Nightmare stay. We stayed in a group of 10 people for 2 nights, the hostel is in a very poor cleanliness and decay condition. The staff is rude and not at all helpful. We also encountered significant problems with the Booking reservation which was not respected. In fact, we had a reservation for three nights and were only guaranteed two nights out of three, only to then request a higher price for the third "additional" night. The rooms appear to be claustrophobic and dirty. The bathrooms are not enough for the people hosted, one bathroom only for 15people. Furthermore, at check-in they asked us for a 5% surcharge on the booking price for payment by card. I strongly advise against this hostel if you want to have a good holiday in Amsterdam.

It's the worst hostel I've ever seen. I'm not a picky guy but this is too much for me.Dirty beds like the whole room, embarrassing hostel and above all very very rude staff.The owners managed to make us pay more than we had to and instead of spending three days in that hell we were forced to change hostel for the last evening.I highly recommend not going as you are in for a really bad experience.

Disgusting facilities, little to no hygiene. Terrible service from the employees, and they charge you fees they only notify you about once youāre there and have no option but to pay it. They want to charge you even for breathing. Stay away from this place.

I stayed at this hostel recently and my experience was absolutely disastrous. One of the employees, a Uruguayan man, not only made unfortunate comments, some with clear sexist and homophobic overtones, but also tried to flirt with a companion who was only 18 years old while he was around 30. This behavior is unacceptable and completely inappropriate.They took advantage of our personal information to search for us on our social networks.Also, the hostel itself leaves a lot to be desired. It was unbearably hot due to the tight closure of the building, resulting in a stifling atmosphere. Added to this are hidden fees that are not mentioned at any time until it is time to pay.Cleanliness is another big problem. I found bed bugs in the beds and fungus in the showers, which is just disgusting. The hallways are extremely narrow and clearly not designed for the number of people the rooms hold.Privacy is also a critical issue here, as workers enter rooms without prior notice, completely violating the privacy of users. The smell in the hostel is unbearable, so much so that it gave me a fever due to the heat and the persistent stench.In short, my stay at this hostel was a horrible experience that I would not recommend to my worst enemy. I hope they take serious measures to close this disgusting joint.

The hygiene of this place is terrible. The bathrooms are wet and the smell of the facilities in general is unpleasant. Added to this, there is an employee who engages in inappropriate behavior, such as trying to flirt with a guest twice his age. It should be noted that the stairs could not be steeper, it is extremely dangerous. And to top it all off, they charge a fee that they notify you of as soon as you arrive. Without further ado, an absolutely disgusting place.

In this hostel there is a worker who makes the guests feel uncomfortable, for example, one of the workers made a comment to me that I looked like a model and that I put my hair in x positions so that he could see it. , it made me and my companions quite uncomfortable. On the other hand, it was unbearably hot in the same place. There was also a cat that was not reported. Regarding tourist taxes, they give you a simplified invoice made by hand and they show you one that is very well made but when it comes to asking for a copy of the correct invoice they do not give it to you and they make it difficult for you to give it to you. In the rooms, which are super small, the bathroom is terribly tidy since if someone takes a shower everything floods. Climbing the stairs is an achievement since they are super narrow. I would never stay here unless you want to have the worst time of your life.
