It’s perfect for a small cubicle hotel room. The rooms are small and tight but right what you need for a longer layover at the airport without having to leave the airport. There’s a complete bathroom and a comfortable enough bed. Also, it’s next to a food court so it’s very comfortable to go out, get food and come back to the room.

My friend and I booked Yotelair Amsterdam Schipol on August 31, 2024 from 9am-1pm. At 8.45 I asked the staff (young man) at the reception if I could change my check in time to 10am and he said that wasn’t an option. He said I could check in at 8.45 and I told him I wasn’t ready but would be back at 9am. By 8.55am I was there but there was no body at the desk for about 5minutes. I found 5 people ahead of me, one of whom was my colleague who was checked in at 9.08 and allowed to stay 15 minutes after our planned check out time. By the time he checked me in, it was already 9.15. At that time I didn’t know that my friend who was checked in 7 minutes before me was allowed to stay 15 minutes longer without her having to ask. I was checked in at 9.15 and asked to check out 15 minutes later and the guy said that was not an option. When I tried to explain that it was not my fault that there was a queue, he was rude to me and refused to listen. However, I later found that it was option for my colleague who didn’t even ask for it. I wonder why I was discriminated against. Could it be because of the differences in skin colour between my friend and I (I am Black). Well, I don’t take any kind of discrimination lightly. I regret that I chose to stay here. I will not make that mistake ever again.

This was an absolute nightmare! After being rerouted to an 11 hour layover by delta, I had to stay alone with 3 kids in one of these pods overnight. With 3 small children and a man following us around in the closed down for the night airport, I was feeling vulnerable and scared so we hurried to try and find the place after we landed. My husband booked it online for 1 adult and 3 kids. We arrive and I am met with 2 young (teen attitude) front desk. The first thing I’m told by the guy is “I can’t allow you to stay in your booked room (according to him we had only booked for 1 person, even though I was able to provide full proof of my online statement that said 1 adult 3 kids! ) Instead of apologizing that their system had made a mistake they double down on kicking me out saying we can just leave if we want to, because he is not letting us in (even though it was paid in full and booked correctly on my part) They were going to kick out a mother with 3 children to an unsafe and scary night, the most heartless and absolutely unfair treatment! I told them I would not be leaving as I paid and had a room. I asked for them to call the manager, (at this point I have secured a witness) they called and came back with 2 options 1. I could get a refund and leave! (Not an option if I wanted to keep my kids safe) 2. Book another room and split my kids up! (Not going to happen in these creepy pods) so I kept insisting this was not okay. They keep me standing there for an hour! My children are on the floor exhausted and scared! I tell them it’s unfair again and said I’ll be writing an awful review, then the girl start to worry and said “ do you want me to get in trouble by letting you in?! What in the world, I said no I want you to not get in trouble by letting me in! She then proceeded to change the story to now the manager said the second room could be free so I could go in, after an hour!!!! I then check in and put my kids to sleep, 25 min later they come banging on the door telling me that the room they gave me is a hazard and I have to leave to a different room!!! So then I have to get my kids and all our luggage out again and re settled in a new room (and NO I did not use the second room like they told me too, no way I was going to leave my kids alone and vulnerable like that) We then stay the remaining hours and checked out at 6:30 AM. The pod was dirty, hard to breathe in, smelled like urin and the lights were annoying, but the treatment was AWFUL, unfair and they way they held on to their power over me was despicable and it made me feel so defeated, I’m still trying to process the whole thing giving me anxiety! I was just a mother who has 3 kids and her papers in order, this should have been managed so differently! It could have been so easy to say “so sorry, our system made a mistake, go ahead and use the room available even if it’s not a big one, we can book you a complementary room if you want to use an extra” I would have said okay we will manage, as long as we are safely locked away from the dangers of this nighttime airport! Bun NO drag it out and 1.5 in the middle of the night and exercise a sick power over me to refuse my kids the refuge we already proved we payed for! An absolute abomination of an establishment!

Bed was not cleaned. Nobody at reception. Only there a few hours so not much more to review but have to fill 100 characters

Tiny room, TV did not work. Not even water in room. Had to pay 3.5. But when you have a 12 hour over night lay over it is a blessing.
