Since 2003, we have been regularly choosing to spend weekends or longer with this wonderful family and there incredible home/apartments. The Keilweth family has only treated us with friendship and supported our desire to relax in the Garmisch Valley. We often stay to support a "homebase" for exploring the Alps by motorcycle in summers or skiing in the winters. The apartments and rooms are outfitted with all creature comforts, spacious and provide glorious views of the mountains or pastures of animals. The chickens are fun to observe and you get fresh eggs at breakfast! The breakfast is a delightful spread and provides for a delicious start to our days, the coffee never fails to impress. We have never stayed in a gästehaus that provided such a wonderful connection to the city or family. Thank you for all the cherished memories and looking forward to the next opportunity to stay and explore!

When we asked about bad reviews, the innkeeper reacted very unfriendly. So we had to assume that these lousy reviews were actually true because the innkeeper hadn't refuted them. We then gratefully refrained from booking.

We didn't feel comfortable in the apartment at all. The hut was kind of clammy from the start and always smelled a bit musty. We had problems drying wet things. Many lamps were broken (terrace, bedroom and kitchen), as a replacement the landlord put a construction spotlight outside...The only teapot (thermos) was broken and the kitchen was generally only poorly equipped for five people. The outdoor grill is badly damaged, chunks of stone can be loosened and the grille is heavily rusted, no one wants to grill on it.The living room is an imposition: the carpet is totally stained and smells unpleasant. The couch is not the one in the photos, but an apparently old, uncomfortable sofa without cushions that was covered with blankets. We saved ourselves from having to look underneath. The climbing house in the garden is very old and partly broken. According to the landlord it is not safe and can therefore no longer be used. After my complaint they replaced a few boards and released it again. In summary the cabin is overpriced and poorly maintained.
