Fantastically beautiful location ❤️ Unfortunately I couldn't eat anything because I was a little late and still had a good 3.5 hours of descent ahead of me. But the elderberry spritzer was really good!

Looking for a decelerated weekend away from the big city?The Weilheimer Hütte not only offers wonderful views, but is also a centerpiece of Bavarian culture. The stories preserved in wheat beer, which the hut owner Dom tells, will conjure up a laugh in the face of every “Saupreißn”, no matter how resistant to fun. (It could also be because of the wheat beer.)In addition to the wheat beer, the Bavarian way of life was reflected in the culinary offerings, the cozy get-togethers, the always friendly service and the communal chopping of wood. Great cabin experience! We were there for 2 days - had the spinach dumplings and the Kasknacker the next day. Everything was super delicious. And the krottenkopf cuts that the lady of the house conjures up are heavenly. If you visit the hut without ordering the krottenkopf slices, you can stay at home!The hut landlord Dominik is also extremely friendly and absolutely well organized! Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. - and at exactly 7:02 a.m. the tray with the snack and coffee is on the table. Mom never managed that.Oh and to the Gratlers who complain about the breakfast prices - for €10.50 you get a snack (sweet or savory) + 1 coffee/tea + and a smile from Dominik or his girlfriend. So a real stunner.Don't forget to tip generously, unless you're from Swabia :)Gladly again at any time!

We were at the Weilheimer Hütte the day after Pentecost and there were therefore few visitors there. You can only say positive things about the overnight prices and the sleeping options. The innkeeper was also friendly. However, I was a bit shocked by the prices for the food. I am aware that there is no road to the hut, but I find it a bit unreasonable to get three slices of bread for breakfast for €10.50. The taste of the dinner was excellent, even if the pea soup (€7.90) should be viewed as a starter given the quantity. In conclusion it was a good stay.

Well located hut, but when we arrived very tired after the long hike we weren't welcomed so warmly. I wanted to use the toilet and was initially forbidden. Then I drank something outside. The hike to the Krottenkopf is definitely worth it.

Nice little hut to stop off after climbing the Krottenkopf. The pea soup (€8.90) was good, but we missed a bit more choice - I've been able to order a snack plate or something similar at every other hut so far. The other warm dishes were limited to two types of pasta for around €15.

Very nice little hut. It is beautifully situated in a valley and is very easy to reach on foot. Some peaks are in the immediate vicinity and are not difficult to climb.

The hike to the Weilheimer Hütte and the view from the Krottenkopf were great - nice to go with a nice view. The hut is beautifully located and the food is delicious. One star is deducted because the food is really expensive and we simply weren't full at all from the mountaineering food. I know it differently.

We are on Tuesday, August 15th. Hiked from Oberau to the Weilheimer Hütte and then on to the summit of the Krottenkopf. A great hike, but one that requires a bit of fitness. We stayed overnight at the hut and experienced a great sunrise. I can fully recommend spending the night there. Totally nice and helpful staff, good food and a good breakfast in the morning. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back. Five stars for everything. Thanks to the team at the hut.

Im surprised by the number of positive reviews. Maybe if u speak German you are treated nicely, but my party as foreign tourists we were denied a place to sit and we either had to order standing up or leave, even though there was plenty of space and we wanted to take our time to decide. Very rude owner, such a situation never happened to me during hiking.

Super nice hut with really delicious food!We stayed in a cozy and very clean double room and enjoyed a great breakfast on the terrace in the morning. Thanks to the great team and the nice guests, a really nice experience. We will be back!
